And where was the defensive substitution for West after going up 3 runs? He's lucky he can hit a little, because he's a liability at 1B. I can count on one hand the number of times that JD's substitutions have worked the last three seasons.

He makes way too many unnecessary substitutions, I think some of it is him being paranoid that some guy is going to transfer if he feels like he didn't get enough at-bats.

I think West is after Williams our most consistent hitter but for the love of god get him out of first. He is the worse defender in College Baseball history and my goodness the ball always find him. I hold my breath every time there is a ball hit or throw to him.

Yeah that's the only downside to Alvarez playing so well is if he wasn't he could just put West at DH and put Copeland at 1B.

I dislike Torres as much as anybody, but he isn’t the problem right now. Cuvet and his selfish swings are, Sosa sucking right now, so is our leadoff guy. So 1,3,4 are being terrible at the same time is not a good recipe.
