He’s completely unqualified for the position he holds. I had fun last May too, don’t get me wrong. But I said it at that time, and I’ll continue to say it. It was the worst thing that could’ve happened. I’ll never root for this program to lose, ever. But it’s going to happen in the long-run, I’ve never been more convinced of anything in my life. Just rip the band-aid off and get his guy outta our lives. It was a joke hire.

Whatever, though. It’s one game. I’m done for now talking about it. I hope he stuffs my foot so far down my throat I **** it out. But I’d bet a lot of money that doesn’t happen. Go get em tomorrow, I guess.

Alot of these guys were recruited because of “pitch ability” meaning stuff instead of projecting what he’ll be down the line. It works great if he’s Ciscar but as you see we only have one of AJ.

Recruiting classes in baseball are usually 90% percent done by the end of junior year of that class so you won’t see the the difference in the philosophy 2 years down that line. Hence why Gio Rojas, Ty Van Valkenburg, and Andrew Gette don’t look like the rest of this pitching core.

I appreciate your post, I understand everything you said. we all know JD can't recruit to save his life. My question was more inlined with NIL and portal. I feel like a MIami storied baseball program should have elite arms in this era no excuses unless its Miami wont pay they dont care about baseball.

This team is better under JD but not much better. Cuvet would’ve been a 1st baseman at any other school and let’s not even get started about pitching. We’re not contending annually until we get better in the field and on the mound. You can’t hit your way to Omaha these days.

Sosa is gone. That’s 6.

Galvin is gonna start the second he gets back. There’s a small chance Vance gets drafted if he repeats what he did last year. Half the lineup has to be replaced. Copeland and Dubovich look good but that was against the easiest part of the schedule. There’s no guarantee either of those guys get 200+ ABs. Then what happens with Alvarez when Galvin gets back? There’s no guarantee he gets 200+ either.

Not that simple.

He ****ed up with the pitching portal acquisitions but you also are trying to fix a problem with guys that if they were good, would be properly compensated already. Hence why Trey beard, who is probably the best portal pitcher since Skenes (Skenes is better), should’ve been given a blank.

You have to fix it through HS recruiting and then use the portal as a depth filler. Going there for 4-5 pitchers every year will lead to what we have now.

As I mentioned earlier, you had to send AJ back out there bc he’s the best you got. If you send the bullpen out for the 8th and they get rocked, everybody questions you. It’s a no win situation if it goes wrong. That’s what happens when your staff sucks.

Lmfao. Galvin’s time is up. Dubovich took his job and ran all the way home with it. Same with Alvarez and anybody trying to argue different should be ignored.

Can anyone in the “ Know “ get us the injury report ? Where was Coats or Fernandez last night ? Either of them can’t be as bad as crappy ***** has been . IF you are gonna pitch Lacki then let him start the 8th fresh in a 2 / 2 game .. We were completely over matched for 7 innings but had a chance to steal the game , I understand you all want guys that throw 98 ( So do I ) but AJ pitched his balls off and gave us a chance …. If Sheahan isn’t playing this weekend then I don’t care how bad Milano’s glove is he needs to play 2nd base and hit in the 2 spot and let Torres flip the lineup …. Everyone is quick to blame JD for all of this but other programs just have more money and can get the guys to campus - If we have any millionaires on here let’s pony up and bring some 98/99’s in here …. 10 - 1 is not the end of the world , Can still win the series and BP help is on the way …. Yes , my glass is half full but I have been rooting for this team for 30 years and that will never change ….. let’s get one today 🙌🙌🙌

Curious to know (as much as it's possible about something that operates in the gray area like NIL) how Canes baseball stacks up against programs like UF and FSU as well as SEC big-spenders like LSU, Tennessee, Arkansas, A&M and so on.

Are we all in like with football?
