Game 1 ... LetGo

Are the Cajuns starting to show up?

Seems as if Canes have taken over the city from reports. I am guessing a lot of the Cajuns will be driving in today.

Here at my hotel it’s about a 4 to 1 ratio in favor of LSU.

That's pretty lame. I guess they don't feel confident in their team so they have to invoke that phony SEC mystique.

As we’re beating their asses inside out, our fans should mock them w a
“Mi-A-Mi” chant

The trip out to Dallas was alot better than the trip back. I was in Mobile before I realized that we were to stop in Biloxi. I am normally excited before a game, but for some reason I was more nervous for this game. Hurricane presence was everywhere in Dallas... made me proud to see how well we traveled. Went to the spot where Kennedy was assassinated and there was a ton of Cane Fans there... we were all over the place... Stayed with my nephew in Fort Worth and I ran into fans there... In Texas Live (A club near the stadium)... don't know what went down, but I saw the police escort a few Cane fans from the premises. The stadium was nice, would have enjoyed it more, with better results... so the place will forever cause a bad taste to form in my mouth. After the game we got a chance to meet up with the players in a club house at field level... It was like being at a wake. When I watch a game at the stadium, I do it in a weird fashion. I find Shaq on the field... then set my eyes to the center... after the snap I follow the OLine flow... if its High Hats (Pass) then my eyes go back to Shaq.. to see what type of drop is he in.. If the Oline flows left or right then I try and focus on the A and B Gap on the flow side and Shaq should work his way into the frame... this game was different he didn't get into the frame that often and other people that shouldn't be in the frame was there... that tells me we were running a number of stunts and blitzes... Willis was in my frame a lot ... dude is good... look forward to seeing him the rest of the season... but seeing him in my frame was another indicator of a stunt.... What ****ed me off the most was when on one play Jaquan came up on the line showing blitz... the LSU former band members/glee club quartet, that was sitting in front of me, called out of the check before LSU QB did... it was obvious... So when the QB checks out and the play goes in the opposite directions of our blitz, I knew it was bad news for us... sure enough 50 yards later Touch Down... It is part of the game and we all think we can do better. You can call me a sunshine pumper or what ever the term is... I'm still down with the staff, down with the team, a Hurricane Fan I can remember watching games in the past few years and knew we had no chance at winning... so threw the good and bad I down with my Hurricanes... My major concern right now, is do we have all the BEST men on the field... and I don't think the practice field is the best place to make a final determination of the evaluation... give everyone that DESERVES a shot a true game time situation and Savannah State is a great place to start. I was planning on doing a blog for all the games... I'm Super Superstitious so I think the idea is tainted now and it won't happen again.... The End

PS
I still think we can steal Ken Dorsey... The End Again

I like the idea of a blog from you, would be a great contribution to the board IMO.

Amen to that "PS". He's like a stones throw away from campus. Richt just has to swallow his pride, bite the bullet and call that man.

Rick would automatically earn his goodwill back with every fan, even after the LSU debacle, if he announced this week that he was bringing in Ken Dorsey to be the OC so that he could focus on qbs and getting the program where it needs to be. Rick could even keep his pride by saying he would still prepare the offense game plan for each game, but Dorsey would be calling the plays on gameday. Would be a line of bs, but Rick is only getting an OC if he can save face.

Dorsey as OC would show fans that Rick didn't take the job just to groom his son to become a D1 head coach and that he's serious about winning a title.

Thanks for the write up @UknowWhat. I’m still
Rolling with the team but I agree we need to get the best 11 on the field

This is the 2nd time Shaq pops has said this. Sounds to me like there are some guys getting PT that even the players think shouldn't be getting it. And that's very dangerous for a locker room as fragile as it is now after a big loss. Heres hoping the coaches do the right thing and play the best 22 guys.

I was about to make a new thread and tag you because I wanted to hear your perspective on how this weekend went.

Everything in your post is too accurate and heartbreaking at the same time. To have an opportunity like this slip through our fingers as a result of playing experience over talent is aggravating, to say the least.

I hope the staff has a similar mindset to you, Poppa Shaq, and they let the 22 best men play the rest of the season.

Names I don’t want to see any more of in a Canes uniform: Knowles, Dean, Feagles, Rosier

with the new redshirt rules, it is easy to get freshmen on the field to see how they play in live action. in addition, no one should redshirt if they are better than the person in front. there has to be urgency!
