Gak done for the Year

Tall guys and knee injuries aren't a good mix. They need to add another big to back up Brooks and Miller because I doubt Gak ever contributes here now

Given the debacle of last season and only having 7 available players for the large majority of the season, you would think the coaching staff would use all 13 scholarships.

This season, Miami uses 11 scholarships that includes one sit out transfer (because a waiver was not applied for) and 2 players returning from significant knee injuries. Now, Miami only has 9 scholarship players for the rest of the season as Gak is now out for the season. Using those two grad transfers big sure would have been helpful but Coach L did not want to take any minutes away from Rodney Miller. Definitely a missed opportunity.

When will the coaching staff get the message and use all 13 scholarships. Next season, Miami needs to add two freshman bigs in the 2020 recruiting class as we should not expect much of a contribution from Deng Gak next season.

In fairness to Deng Gak, another knee surgery for a player who still needs to add weight and strength is not an ideal situation for any player to be in.
