I didn't see him this season.

This was last year. I think he should put on 60lbs and becomes a NT. That body type and effort and style would be successful there.
Want him to do well but he's not a pass rushers he's be an edge setting run stopping end.
Put on 60 lbs & lineup at NT? Why stop at 60?

what corner did he turn on the field exactly?
He's had 3 catches in the last 3 weeks lol

That’s interesting cherry picking. He also has 11 receptions in November, his entire production for the year. He played in five games straight had at least one reception in all of them.

When the team needed him when Daniels was out, Jojo stepped up. Fortunately so did Marion, Moore and Uoshaw. We have a solid nucleus of receivers, Jojo being one of them.

Jojo has the talent to be All conference its all mental with him..at that point it doesn’t matter what jersey you got on you gotta get your mind right. He was flashing in that SMU game aside from that infamous drop.
Why r u trying to convince yourself? Flashing doesn’t mean anything and it’s not like SMU has a good secondary anyway. He is either use to playing with a lack of urgency or he just simply lacks the explosiveness to be a WR1.

@Jassid82. The worst take I've ever seen.

LMAO. Hey he got me! Swing and a miss.

We can agree to disagree, you have your opinion I have mine, I believe the talent is there & I hope he gets it together & balls for the U, if not then oh well we’re recruiting the position well at the moment.

Yeah, but u base your opinion of him being a borderline 5 star, I base my opinion off film. I knew what his weaknesses were coming in. He has potential, but he showed a lack of explosiveness and burst on film, and still shows the same weaknesses. He can be a WR 1 if he improves in that area, easier said than done though.

Im not basing off stars I’m using my eyes 👀..Yall act like if someone doesn’t ball out immediately because of their HS rating they suck lol it’s comical..half the board laughed and wrote off Brashard Smith when ppl said he deserved more opportunities here now look at him…Like I said JOJOs issues are primarily effort/mentally based he was never a burner type WR, he thrived off his ability to make contested/acrobatic catches and his body control..his route running is meh because he is too non chalant out there, effort alone will improve his game ten fold but thats some thing HE has to fix not a coach.

No, but there are traits that all WR1 have. What matters most is the ability to get open, not making contested catches against some scrubs on high school. Doesn’t matter wat year he is in, if he doesn’t develop explosiveness and burst, which I identified in his highschool film, he won’t be a WR1 at this level. Based of wat u r saying its all effort, which would be a total red flag.

Brashard Smith was a terrible WR, it’s unfortunate the coaches didn’t realize he was a rb.

Comparing this guy to Bailey was wild in HS! And taking him over Bailey was even wilder! Bailey had 9k passing yards and 119 TDs in HS playing a tough schedule. Even if he had two big time HS receivers on the squad. I got laughed at when I posted about CJ Bailey coming out. Mechanics are the easiest thing to fix with QBs because it’s just often their base and elbow/arm placement. He has always been pretty accurate and has a strong arm for being so thin
Would you rather have had Bailey starting the last two years or Ward/Beck?

This stupid narrative needs to die already.

If Bailey came here he wouldn't have started either year and wouldn't be the player he is today.

No, but there are traits that all WR1 have. Burst and explosiveness are traits that players naturally have. Thats something I noticed in his highschool film, using it logic he lacked effort back then. Thats a huge red flag in itself. He does not thrive in making acrobatic/contested catches, u saw him doing that in highschool and thought that’s gonna translates to the next level 😂. What matters most is the ability to get open, not making contested catches against some scrubs on high school.

They did - he wanted no part of being a full time RB and only did it at SMU out of desperation when their other RBs got injured.

U write off what he did in HS ok cool I’ll agree with you there It doesn’t matter now in college…then u write off what he did in an actual D1 college game against a p4 opponent because “ their secondary is bad” so it doesn't count lol there’s no convincing u brother & it’s ok you have your opinion..so again ill just leave it at he possesses the talent to be great & players improve hopefully he can get his mind right to our benefit ..go canes 🙌🏾

& Restrepo was essentially our WR1 last year..burst n explosiveness weren’t his strong suits he would’ve been drafted if they were 👀👀

Your argument is terrible. He hasn’t done anything besides make routine plays. Plenty of players make plays here and there doesn’t mean they are WR1.

Restrepo had other traits, hard worker, physical, also he was quick af, his shuttle was elite. You actually don’t know what u r talking about.
