Gaby portal

That WR class taught me what to look for in WRs. Never will I ever be convince, even by ppl that I respect on here and whose posts have a lot of weight.

I've become calloused to this stuff, and have come around the last few years that 99.99% of this is a business. If a player wants to transfer out, I'm fine with it.

But I need someone to explain to me how announcing tonight, for example, helps you?

I genuinely don't know, so I need someone to correct me.

All of these kids have agents. If you are planning to enter the portal, the entire world is "tampering", although that's not even a thing anymore. Your agent is reaching out to teams. What does doing this in the middle of a playoff run do for you?

The only thing I can think of, and I guess this is the obvious and beneficial answer, is it lets every single team know, in flashing lights, that you're available, rather than your agent having to reach out to schools you're interested in? Maybe helps you get a call from a school that otherwise wouldn't know you're going to enter because you didn't call them?
He is trying to get ahead because he will at least be looked at right now.

In a couple weeks that may not be the case when some more top tier talent hits the portal.

Evals are super important. It don’t matter where u play in the country, high school is high school. If you don’t have multiple traits that r levels above high school competition then u mos likely aren’t going to do much at the level of CFB the canes play at.

He was injuried for most of the season. I don't see him transferring out.
I didn't see him this season.

This was last year. I think he should put on 60lbs and becomes a NT. That body type and effort and style would be successful there.
Want him to do well but he's not a pass rushers he's be an edge setting run stopping end.

What other schools offered Judd as a recruit?
He has the physical tools. That is for sure. I doubt most on here throwing shade on him have any idea what he looks like in practice or what he can become. I'd like to hear from anyone around the programs opinion on what he lacks to be a legit QB.

I can't speak for now, as I'm not around the team.... but In high school, in the games I saw him play... he didn't value the football enough. He was always putting the ball in harms way. He would make a "wow" throw, followed by an int into double or triple coverage.

As a recruit, I was critical of Judd after watching his high school junior season highlights and one early senior HS game. And liking CJ Bailey as a developmental QB option at the time. His mechanics were god-awful, reminded me of Arthur Sitkowski. But Judd did improve significantly after a team and coaching change as a senior in HS, so maybe he's progressed further and he's lights out by this time, I don't know.

In high school, he played in 4 different offenses. Played in a pro style offense that depended heavily on the run in his freshman year (covid year, and had only started learning the QB basics that summer, with only 1 start before covid ended the teams year), Wing-T hybrid in sophomore year that limited growth, air raid his Jr year, and spread style his senior year that he really started to thrive in. He has been training with Denny Thompson since his soph year. His ceiling is high.

No. Worse! I've seen Beck take a sack or throw the ball away to keep us in FG range. I personally seen this kid throw 7 balls that should have been picked one night. Ended up with 4 ints, and the defense dropped the other 3. Bad decisions after bad decisions. He plays QB like you want your DB to play. "Short memory"!, lol

Comparing this guy to Bailey was wild in HS! And taking him over Bailey was even wilder! Bailey had 9k passing yards and 119 TDs in HS playing a tough schedule. Even if he had two big time HS receivers on the squad. I got laughed at when I posted about CJ Bailey coming out. Mechanics are the easiest thing to fix with QBs because it’s just often their base and elbow/arm placement. He has always been pretty accurate and has a strong arm for being so thin
