Gaby portal-departures thread

This is all I’m saying, don’t get y our fans wanna write him off so bad already. We did the same with Fletch n he’s been solid for us
No one with half a brain, ever wrote off, Fletcher. What the **** are you talking about? That dude has been RB1 or RB1b for almost 3 years and the production shows on the field. What the **** is JoJo done in the last two years aside from a meaningless bowl game.

Bruh you the one that implied every WR1 has to posses burst & explosiveness..I brought up restrepro because he wasn’t the most explosive guy but he was still WR1 here because of those traits you yourself mentioned. What are you yapping about ?
Bruh, let’s do some analysis. X has elite short area quickness and change of direction, his weakness is long speed. He came out of his class with one of the fastest shuttle if not the fastest. He also has insane work ethic.

You think JOJO ain’t it cool I’m done arguing there no one is gonna change ur mind & I don’t care to 🤷🏾‍♂️.... but there was absolutely ppl here ****ting on Mark Fletcher in the offseason that’s factual.

Not me, I’ve always been on record saying Fletcher is the heart of this run game.

Would you rather have had Bailey starting the last two years or Ward/Beck?

This stupid narrative needs to die already.

If Bailey came here he wouldn't have started either year and wouldn't be the player he is today.
Who tf said Bailey would be starting here? He was not ready to start here. He would’ve redshirted and ran the scout team his first year then been the backup. While getting game experience is great, practicing with the scout team and focusing on fixing your mechanics and gaining weight/strength while waiting your turn is also good.

We could use a standalone QB coach - allow Dawson to focus on his scheme and the offense and allow a QB coach to work technique and mindset with the backups.

But doesn’t the agent let the football world know without letting the actual world know?

What I mean is that it seems players could have their cake and eat it too.
Prepare to play in the CFP, while your agent starts putting out the news quietly.
Or

This really is the correct approach. They’re basically just heading in free agency. It’s typical in professional sports to finish out your season heading into free agency even if everyone expects you to leave

It's refreshing to see the coach of a major program set aside his ego, and not make it all about him.

Dillingham is a good dude

Cynical coaches used to call a kid who was transferring "selfish" and "not a team player", then jump a flight for another coaching job without even informing the players first. NIL and "free agency" have a lot of downsides. But one of their many goods is they forces programs to value the players and treat them with the respect they deserve.
