GA Tech has a QB named Chayden

BS whistle... smh.Wow they got robbed just now
Not after the App St and Michigan St games.I know most of this board is praying for us to lose and Diaz fired but I'd much rather win the Coastal.
Big response from #4 to get the first on the next playBS whistle... smh.
**** him and his ****ridersIt's all falling apart for Mack.

Occasionally winning the Coastal with a stacked roster would be our ceiling. We're a BADLY coached team.
There's zero chance we win it anyway, but we need a complete rebuild of the administration - if going .500 or worse in the Coastal this year achieves that, so be it. I can't stand us squandering our potential any longer.
I'm afraid it has to be a scorched earth policy.I agree that is probably the ceiling but as you point out, we need a rebuild of the administration, which is a separate thing from the HC and the team. I will always root for Miami and it hurts me to see them lose, even if I think it is for the greater good.
My ideal scenario is Miami wins the coastal, but the College Gameday criticism haunts the BOT all season and they realize that Herbie was right, winning the division in a bad year is probably just a mirage and we won't permanently turn the corner in football, baseball, and basketball until we have a President and AD that both understand that good sports improve a school's image. BOT fires Frenk and James; then Miami hires an AD/Head of Football Ops like Highsmith. I trust Highsmith would be able to fairly evaluate whether Diaz winning the coastal was a significant accomplishment not. I don't think he will pre-judge Diaz, because it's not good business and he seems like a consummate professional. If after the season he decides Diaz should stay, then I'll defer to his judgment. If Highsmith isn't impressed with winning the coastal and fires Diaz, then I'll get behind that as well. It is possible to have a win-win. I'll hope for that.
I don’t know what is better that they lost or that half this place is mad about itLOL. Eat sht Mack...
I can't believe they left him in that last drive. Pretty dumb when game was over. I haven't seen anybody manhandle UNC oline like that in a long time.Sam Howell gonna survive the season behind that Searls Oline??
Kid should opt for any kind of draft stock
They are still 2 losses behind Miami for the coastalImagine if someone before the year started told you unc would have 2 division losses before October, we’d all feel we’d be a shoe in for the Acc title game..but here we are, ******* manny smh

If we win the Coastal they'll just block out the outside noise and point at the 8/9 wins as success and make no changes. Deep down you know this.

I'm not super depressed about the season - I steeled myself against it once we dropped that game to Mich St.Deep down I know (and you know) that even if things go completely sideways and Miami gets blown out multiple times, there is absolutely no guarantee the BOT will make a change. Or there is a good chance that things go south, the BOT makes a change, but f#cks it up again and we ***** up the hire for the sixth time in a row. We are in the same situation we are in (or worse), the only difference is that we'll also be super depressed that we just had a horrible season. If we win the coastal, I will be happy.
Let me put it a different way: Let's say your heart is failing and you need major surgery. Chances of survival are slim and you know that surgical team is horrible, but that's what you have to work with. You have the chance of going to Disney World with your family one last time. Are you going to sulk in your hospital bed and say, "What's the point, I'm probably going to die anyway and won't remember it?" or will you take the trip and have one last good memory? Whether you go to Disney World or not, it's not going to change the outcome of the surgery and it isn't going to change the horrible surgical team that will be operating on you. All that matters is whether you want things to end with a good memory or not.

That said I'm an optimist so I happen to think the College Game Day execution today was the first step in big changes - powerful people within the program have had enough and wheels are starting to turn. I don't want Diaz fluking some wins against a poor ACC Coastal derailing that.
If nothing changes... well let's just say I won't be in any rush home on Saturdays from Ewood Park to watch us in a dogfight with whatever middling ACC team we're playing that week at noon (your time). My patience has evaporated.
I'll be brutally honest - I'd interview Cristobal if he was interested (although personally I think he'd be mad to leave Oregon - he has a clear path into the Playoffs every year until USC sort their **** out), but he wouldn't be above any other candidate for me.I think you also need to root for Oregon to lose, because if Mario runs the table and makes it to the playoffs, he's going to get another massive raise and contract extension; call me crazy but I would think NFL teams might start making inquiries as well. But then if he loses to a team like Arizona (which we need a couple bad losses to keep him out of the playoffs), then he'll immediately be labeled a massive fraud by this site. A bit of a Catch 22 there
BTW Dave Aranda has Baylor looking good. He should be on the list of Tier 2 candidates IMO
