G5 Representative in the College Football Playoff is the equivalent to DEI.

**** that.

College football is way different now.

There isn’t much separating the 12 team from the top 4 teams. A few bounces here and there or bad officials calls separates the teams with the transfer portal, NIL, etc.

There is no Cinderella run. It’s an *** kicking and an easy game for whomever plays them. Look at Boise State last year.
Listen, I feel your pain. But you lose two games as a big favorite and you lose the right to complain. If we hadn't **** the bed against Louisville or SMU, we'd be comfortably in the top 10 and we would probably have a 40-page thread right now laughing at Alabama for being bumped by James Madison.

Those doing the rankings know exactly what they are doing as well to help the SEC.

Oklahoma all do a sudden played a ranked team today. They get teams ranked at the right time.
ive heard it 4 time today on espn that oklahoma has played a GAUNTLET and most ranked teams....pushing their narrative *talking points that they were told too.....its shameful.

Hopefully the last year a G5 team HAS to get in. They have to earn it. Not just be a big fish in a small pond.

They can have their own little playoff

We lost to 2 inferior mediocre teams, per usual. It ended in Dallas and you all should have let it go then. I said, 15 times coming into the season, this season is 100% on coaching and it was. Coaching let us down, again. Next years team is going to be a drop off. We certainly aren't making the playoffs next season. I have settled on what we are with Mario, a 9 or 10 win program, which is a **** of a lot better than the prior 20 years. Go Canes

Doesn’t appear to be going anywhere anytime soon. I don’t even recall the SCORES act that they are trying to pass, which would give them certain antitrust protections, has a delineation or separation between P4 & G5+

Win the games we’re supposed to and we’re not making these “comparisons.”

As it is, beat Pitt.
It’s not just about this year. And it’s not just about the Canes. It’s a general statement of fact and it needs to change.

They're division 1. Treat them like it.

I'd rather that playoff spot go to the best G5 team than a fifth or sixth SEC team.

Anything to take anything away from the blue bloods.

The SEC, ACC, and Big 10 all suffered bigger blowouts than the G5 rep in last year's CFP.

And? The G5 rep (Boise St) still got dominated by Penn State. Boise State also had first round bye, which shouldn't have happened. The point is G5 schools shouldn't have an automatic qualifying spot in the playoffs.

And......if the G5 rep is so undeserving, then so are teams 5-50 from the P4 conferences, since they also got blown out. Hope this helps.

G5’s are getting an undeserving spot in the playoff.
They earned their spot just like everybody else.

If Miami doesn't make the playoffs, it's not because of G5's, or the refs, or anybody else but Miami.

If we win the games we're favored to win, this discussion doesn't happen.

Don't get mad at G5 schools for handling their business on the field, when we didn't.

I used to support their inclusion, but they aren't playing in the same league anymore. The resource differential is out of control.

Its like allowing a college team a spot in the NFL playoffs at this point.

G5 should have their own tournament.

That’s still no excuse to have a G5 team in and last year the G5 team got a bye week so SMU had to go and deal with PSU on the road instead of Boise, which got curb stomped by them anyway the next round.

The system as is,.. is rigged for SEC/BIG10. Hard enough for other conferences to get in. The portal/NIL has somewhat leveled the playing field for the other big schools. The G5 schools have used them also to step up. But it’s limited, by money and how much talent they can accumulate. Their actual recruiting is still below the big conferences. Look at Tulane, very good at three positions, QB,WR, and RB. In comparison to SEC/ACC/B10 they are undersized at OL/DL. Hard to move thru a playoff of bigger competition. The following year the talent gets picked off and they’re back at square one. How about they have their own NC. Similar to the NIT in CBB. The NC is mythical b***s**t right now. Played for and paid for by the media corporations. As long as they dangle that carrot people will settle for the S**t. This is strictly my opinion and not endorsed by any entity other than Myself. Go Canes

Tennessee? Oregon?

The best G5 team is just as competitive as the slop that gets in for the last few seeds.
