Future Dts Development

No I agree with you i'm not saying if a player makes a mistake its all on the coaches. They're not the ones playing I get It, it works both ways. Im more referring to this year's safety play. It's the coaches Job to prepare them. For example as Banda said himself in regards to bubba bolden, his playing time depends on if he tackles the "Miami way". Well who's coaching them how to tackle? Banda lol. So if Banda is teaching the safeties how tackling should be done, and they've missed tackles all season, it's only his fault? Miami had 29 missed tackles a few weeks ago. That is such an astronomical missed amount of tackles. That can't be all on the players IMO. The coaches don't prepare this defense enough and it shows when they are sleep walking into overtime against Georgia Tech. I respect your opinion and I do hear your argument, but this isn't all on the players. My whole point in the first place was stroud isn't the problem lol.
You dudes are obsessed with banda. First off it’s mostly rumph coaching safeties. Second, all the starting safeties since golden left have made NFL. Third, we have good talent at safety.

First off, no I’m not, he’s just a bad coach getting too much credit. Second, then if that’s the case then why even have banda? Third, nobody said the safety’s were talented

i wasnt just saying you but hes really just a recruiter. Gurvan Hall, Keontra Smith, Amari carter, Budda Bolden were all highly regarded and gil and finley were safeties who switched positions. did we have a bad take aside from derrick smith since hes been here?

No we really haven’t had a bad take you’re right about that I agree.

2020 Defense looks fine on paper

DE Garvin -- Harvey -- Ch. Williams -- Q. Williams -- Height
DT Silvera -- Blissett -- Hunte -- Moise
DT Ford -- Miller -- Holley -- Riggins
DE Rousseau -- Phillips -- Ca. Williams -- Roberts
LB McCloud -- Jennings -- Brooks -- Flagg
LB Huff -- Joyner -- Steed -- Mathis -- Cave
DB Frierson -- Smith
DB Bandy -- Couch -- Clarke
DB Ivey -- Blades -- Branch
DB Bolden -- Carter -- Balom
DB Hall -- Williams -- Washington

"we have 3 future studs with HARRISON-HUNTE Blisset and Miller. 4 possibly with Holley"

If there is one thing that I have learned the last 15 years...is that I will withhold judgment until I see them play in an actual game.

We've had the best Run Defense we've had in the Diaz era this season...

And with the emergence of Rousseau, Ford, Nesta & Miller, I don't see how yall are so critical of Stroud. The DLine has been the strongest unit on our team this season.

We have 25 sacks & 51TFL's on the season, that's pretty **** good. Plus you have to factor in how much play calling affects the performance of the DL's, I mean Baker has had our most dynamic pass rushers dropping back in coverage on multiple plays & we for whatever reason are always going with 3-man fronts on 3rd down only rushing 3.

I do agree that Simpson is a much better DL coach than Stroud, I'm not arguing that, I'm just saying on Defense they're not the issue this season.

The heat needs to be on Banda, Baker, Patke & Rumph more so than Stroud IMO.

What good run teams have we played thus far?
UVA - 123rd
Pitt - 109th
Florida - 90th
UNC - 69th
GT - 62nd
CMU - 54th
VT - 53rd

Louisville at 23 is the only top running team we play. BC is 10th but not on the schedule and FSU (94) and Duke (70) are garbage as well.

Our pass rush outside of Rousseau and zone blitzing has been non-existent. You can’t have your guys improve run defense and completely bomb on pass rush in today’s open spread offenses.
