Future 50 Updates

Again IMG is always a unique recruitment AS ......Majority of their kids arent from FLORIDA....Add to it VERY SELDOM a kid from South Florida transfers to IMG.

When we are doing our recruiting trip by our coaches to IMG they are looking at kids already committed from Texas, California, Louisiana, Georgia, Chicago and wherever else these kids are from there. Off our list only Patchan (who is cane legacy) and Tyree St Louis are actual florida kids. both from Tampa...and if you want to count Redding who is from Pensacola who we most of the time consider out of state.lol

Quick scan of last years roster for them is a who's who of places UM doesnt recruit. Hard to get kids that you really dont have a relationship with while they play 1 year at IMG. 2 maximum. Most are doing like what we did with Wayne and Williams. They get their commitments then funnel them to IMG to focus on football for a semester or a year. Hence you saw alot of their ELITES go to Bama or certain schools they were placed their by the colleges most of the time
Interesting.. is Mario having them transfer to IMG? Would be a good idea. Gets our recruits a season of better development, and makes IMG like us more cause we’re giving them top players.

One of things I was reading about the academics ar IMG is that they prepare the kids to enroll early into college. That's their standard. So, I don't have any a anemic concerns about a kid graduating from IMG.

I'm not a fan of IMG. They're good for the individual, but not the sport of high school football in my opinion.

You have to remember, IMG is a business. They're developing athletes so they can represent them when they enter professional sports. Not just with playing contracts, but endorsements as well.

They're a player in the game, so it's best to have a great relationship with them and Mario is already pulling kids from IMG. In the past, these kids have gone to Clemson, Georgia, and Alabama. He's establishing a pipeline from IMG to UM and it's all good.
Two of my nephews have attended img and the owner is a good friend of mine. Their standards are definitely top notch. But the bigger issue with them is the schedule kids have to keep. Not alot of kids can keep up with such a greuling schedule. It's very demanding on the kids. But what they ask out of you certainly does prepare you for a life after school. One thing youre wrong about though is the assumption that img the school and img the agency are one and the same. They aren't. They're actually completely separate from each other. The owner of the school (not the paper, but the money) is a woman named Nancy. She actually comes from the music world which is how her and I became friends years ago. ALOT of people have that same misconception that the school and the agency are extensions of the other. Honestly it was just a very smart business move on her part to be able to piggy back the brand.

You might not be aware how img is so I'll update you guys. Img has a better s&c & nutrition program than most colleges. There programs were designed by some of the top people in the world and are ran by mainly former NFL people or specialists. It's one of the main draws about img is they prepare you in every aspect for the next level. It's all about development for sports with school much less of an emphasis. If anything that's where I always had my concerns is if that's being neglected because as much time as they spend working out it means you really have to dial in with ur time available for school work.
I learned something new today. I never knew that about IMG. Thanks for passing on your knowledge to those like myself who are ignorant to the facts. Born and raised in Florida and never knew that.

David Lake is as mid as the rest of them. But he's a Cane, he went to Miami so I try to pick on others instead lol.
Well I'm glad he's an alum. But being an alum doesn't qualify him to make such a stupid *** statement. The kid could very well end up being a gaurd. But to say at this point because of his footwork is idiotic. He has two of the top oline coaches in the country on our staff. You think we can't fix a kids footwork. He's gotta be more responsible than that when he knows he's got fans out here from his site who follow their words like it's gospel not realizing just like them they don't know **** either.

Of course it’s idiotic. He tried to evaluate a football prospect. It’s like if you listened to me speak on quantum physics. But ****, if you’re dumb enough to pay to hear me on it ill take your money. 🤣

I feel you tho.
