Funny Thing Happened On The Way To 6-2

TVD will get through this. He can be great. He has the confidence of the team, the coaches, and most importantly me. He also gives us the best chance to win. I trust he'll get through this. Unlike Mario, he's shown me he can perform on GameDay.

His **** games were in games we either won, or Mario lost. UNC he was the only good thing our offense had. Certainly didn't see some wide open guys but he was all we had.
I see someone has been drinking hard all weekend.

It's a strategy I advocated for against UVA.

HOWEVER, TVD appears to continue to lock-in on X no matter how many defenders are covering him and how wide open everyone else.

EW, so far, wasn't showing that deficiency in his limited body of work.
TVD likes his safety blanket no doubt. I was a little surprised at the drops yesterday.. and the missed tackling. This week might be a good time to start showing TE and RB throws. Something to keep them on their heels even with the heavy run and short pass game. All that being said, if TVD is still hurt badly I'm not opposed to some EW action. Kid did enough to win his first start against a stout D. I don't think ncstate beats clemson three weeks ago. clemson was emotionally and fysically wrecked after taking that L from Miami. I think EW could probably get the W on the road. But, I do think a healthy TVD with a limited game plan would be the better option @ncstate. Use X as a decoy for the TE.

@Empirical Cane do the first 16 Qs of the season no longer count?
Interesting question. I’m seeing a lot of talk about what TVD is unable to do and the things he always does wrong. We seem to have forgotten all the things he’s been able to do right in a lot of games.

Yes he looks bad right now, but it’s impressive how quickly people decide he’s not just performing badly right now, he was never that good in the first place and can’t play better in the future.

Once more: TVD played the best, most consistent ball of his career when Rhett Lashlee DUMBED THE OFFENSE DOWN for him.

The kid cannot read defenses, dissect a zone, and he is still staring down receivers. He simply is unable to process.

I'm not in favor of starting Emory, so if I'm Dawson and Mario, I speed the offense up (where TVD has thrived) and simplify the playbook for him.

Cant keep winning games they are. At some point your QB needs to make plays and long term, this is not how you become a top program again

This is what the Georgia Techs, Mississippi Sts, Auburns of ther world are

Miami is ranked #10 in the nation in least sacks allowed. The QB has all day to throw and is throwing picks and people blaming the coaches. U show still shots, with no pressure and people open and we blaming Mario. None of yall can provide proof Cristobal is creating play calling.

Its the new Cristobal has problem recruiting WRs because of bro style. Cristobal does not call plays. TVD is a fkn mental case. His mistakes snow ball. How can coaches overcome that. He did the same thing last season.

Dude isn’t getting touched and very little pressure and still making bad business decisions on the field. The route concepts could use some tweaking, be less predictable in play calling (coaching), be less predictable with throws (all on TVD).

Think of the Klubnik play at the end of the Clemson game. If the call is one thing and he decides to do something else, he has to be accountable to that. If he was right and would’ve scored then cool right? But he didn’t so he has to wear that.

TVD has had some success and he’s feeling himself too much. He thinks too highly of his arm talent and decision making. Needs to do what’s being asked of him and go through his progressions. If he can’t or won’t then sit his *** ‘til he figures it out and gets his sh*t together.

I usually don't include Fake Miami, Bethune or Temple when trying to fit models on seasonal statistics. Many of my outputs reveal these games to be outliers (as they should). As the season progresses and we get more data each weekend, the output skews even further away from FCS opponents.

I don't know where the four missing quarters are.

I've treated ex-girlfriends coming back on the rebound better than many of our fans treat Tyler. They deserved it though....

Excellent use of font size. A+ actually.
Thank God I can still squint.

I say give TVD the game plan they gave Emory. Heavy run with a lot of short throws and see if he can get into a rhythm. If he does, open it up more as he gets his confidence back. Don't try to throw deep, just take what the defense gives you and move the chains.
That’s not his style see Gattis pat year. TVD needs tempo. It’s his thing always has always will be. Now Dawson never goes tempo anymore I’m sure there’s reasons for it but we all know he looks night and day different with tempo maybe bc he doesn’t think and just plays

Dawson needs to figure out something that gets the kids head out of his *** to keep him from forcing throws into coverage. If he's hurt, they need to get him to not look for throws he can't make right now. I'm just saying that if they're ok with a ultra safe gameplan for EW, they should be ok with the same ultra safe game plan for TVD.

They do when sustained.

TVD is returning to his mean from last year and others.

Please don't start with "but Gattis".

I do believe TVD's data indicates much closer to whwt we've seen last 3 games against better opponents than what we saw against aTm and lesser opponents in opening tilt of season.
