Ran into Tony Wise at the Browns training camp when Chud was HC in Cleveland. Tony was the best OL Coach in UM history and for those doubting, Jimmy took him to Dallas, not Art! Anyway, Jimmy had flown out to Phoenix before the team to tape a show with Bob Hope and had no idea the boys got on the plane in camo. This is pre cell phone so none of the staff could get Jimmy, he saw the fellas get off the plane on the Phoenix news!

There is NOTHING funny about the 87 Fiesta Bowl
Tony thought it was hilarious. Not only was he a great offensive line coach but one of the great storytellers in Canes history

What is it with doofuses that keep reminding us about the Fiesta Bowl?

No canes fan wants to even think about that game.

OP must’ve had a bad outing playing the net at his girls volleyball game

For those with comprehension issues, the event Tony spoke of occurred a week before the game. Just like Jerome marching the boys out of the cookout was pretty silly and many fans thought it was pretty funny.. Most move on from game results 35 years ago, others get stuck in quick sand.

In case I don't get the chance to tell you in the short time you have left with us, this thread has been a real blast.

You will be missed.

Impossible!

ASK anyone in all of Miami!

There WAS no Fiesta Bowl in 1987. In fact - there was no 1987!

So? Jimmy's attitude was "as long as we keep winning, I can handle the rest." He wouldn't have said no, because he probably didn't think we would lose that game.
