Maybe they buy into Kirby Smart as the next Nick Saban type. If that's the case, then they don't need to know what offense will be run...they just know it will be a good one.

For the record, I doubt Smart is the next Saban...and if he is, it won't be right away.

SEC is a hard place to learn as a first-time HC. Even Saban took a while to figure out how to be Saban. His teams at Michigan St definitely had some growing pains.

Not saying the kid is coming here but you don't need to know who your OC is when you know that Mark Richt will be calling the plays, as he must have informed the kid when he hosted him on his unofficial visit last weekend. Mark had a long talk with the kid and must have told him how he is going to use him!
He may still go to Georgia because he is originally from there but it won't be because he doesn't know what offense Miami will run or because Georgia is known to produce famous TE's in the league. The guy who will run the offense is your head coach who you already know.
