The real reason people are fired here is that some big money boosters has had enough. It's all about timing and someone saying enough is enough. A lot of that has to do with what the buyout is. It can be structured with years remaining or a set amount that decreases as time goes on.

Ask anyone on this board, if money were no object, would they have kept either of the two in question as long as they were kept. The answer is no. It haa nothing to do with race like this guy would have it be. It's all performance and they both were failures.

This thread was orginally about a Canes fan venting on YouTube about our 58-0 beatdown from Clemson, so what was the purpose of bringing Shannon in this in the first place? Not one single race bait accuser has actually answered this question! It became a racial issue when Thomas blogger immediately went after Shannon despite this being a thread about Golden, so stop acting like race ain't have nothing to do with this! Again, what did a 7 win Miami team losing to a 6 win USF team have to do with this thread? Answer THIS question first then we can talk about why yall getting so upset with someone defending a Hurricane instead of a worthless *** Nittany lion!

They both were failures but the white failure was kept on a 5th year even though He had a worse 4th year record than His black predecessor, and He clearly lost the locker room...that's racism.

And what makes it so bad, they allowed the white coach to address the team after He got fired, while the black coach had to leave the building right away.

So yes, it had to do with race.

Again, Golden's BO wasn't huge, and being on probation wasn't the reason He was retained for a 5th year, being white was. **** even the sanctions were racist, what other school has the NCAA prohibited from having former players on the sideline?
 
So Golden was kept an additional year because he was white? Not even a full year, but whatever.

It is always about the money. His buyout was larger before the start of his final year and nobody was ****ed enough to cough it up while still paying previous buyouts. Well, he finally ****ed the right people off and guess what, they weren't happy before that game either.

But what is the OP? Again, what does this have to do with Shannon? What about being a ranked team and getting curb stomped by 35 points in a conference championship game? You can honestly say that getting blown out in your 1st year is worse than getting blown out in your 5th year? And why was the USF loss soooo **** humiliating? What did we have to gain besides our 8th win of the season? Since when is losing to USF is more humiliating than losing to Duke, because Folden and Richt BOTH lost to Duke and they sure as **** wasn't making a measly 900k like Randy was! Golden was signed on through 2020. Buyout was significant. No rational thinker would fire sand hire a coach when you just get dealt probation

And we got our sanctions in 13', waaaaaay before that 6-7 debacle in 14'.

And where is it written in stone that you can't fire a HC of a school on probation?

Since you have that info what was Golden’s buyout in 2013 and 2014?
