We're talking most embarrassing losses dude, and losing a possible title shot to a 4 win team is far more embarrassing than a USF loss. That's why I made the comparison. Thread was orginally about a Canes fan venting on YouTube after our 58-0 loss to Clemson anyways, and had nothing to do with Randy or who sucked the most between Shannon and Folden. For real, that you think anyone here is defending Alf Folden, for any reason, shows your ignorance in the ways of CIS. You haven’t been on this board long so you haven’t seen the beating that Folden has taken on here. Much more than Shannon but they both sucked.

And you wanna know why Shannon was brought up in a Folden thread? Because the thread is about our worst beat down ever and someone mentioned another one - which happened to come under Shannon - who happens to be black. Tough shît- the black coach sucked just like the white coach sucked. If Mork and Mandy had 40-50 point shutout losses, it’d be in here too.

And if you catch a ban, don’t blame the dry snitches lol. Blame yourself for stirring up race. And the guy you called a MAGA supporter isn’t a Trump supporter and neither am I so try again.

Not sure why you're quoting me but Golden was the worst coach I've ever seen at Miami. I liked Randy, he's a Cane, but he was out of his depth. Being a D1 head coach isn't an easy job, it's not like he failed at being a walmart greeter. In some cases you're looking for something that's not there. Leave me out of your tirade thanks.

Randy had some big wins. I would have to take him over Golden. IMO Randy was never given much of a chance. He had no budget to work with, and we were not making any upgrades to facilities.

Golden was a straight up bad hire. I didn’t find what he did at Temple impressive. He benefitted from Big East players moving to the MAC. If you took Georgia Tech and put them in the MAC, their record would improve.

Done with you. I never said that is why he was retained. I said why would anyone ever fire a guy, hence a huge buyout, when the school is on probation.

Andif I remember correctly he was given a huge extension after a loss in his second year.

That's already been addressed by Shalala's retirement and the NCAA. If you're really a Cane since forever you remember all the arguments about how Golden couldn't be fired because he had the excuse of the cloud.of sanctions until Shalala nutted up and told the NCAA to pound sand.

Had Frenk taken over a year earlier and the NCAA didn't delay just to punish us, Golden would probably have been gone a year earlier and the Clemson debacle wouldn't have been what it is.

I know I am old but I do not remember much love for Golden after second year. I know I defended him early and the knives were out slashing and stabbing fast and furious. I flipped over to other side once he threw the first player under the bus. I remember defending Randy longer because we still have talent and speed under him. I was for firing Coker the year he loss two games with 4 or 5 first round picks.

Manny had no business getting this job. Randy wasn't HC material but he was a Cane to the soul and part of the glory years so it was a legit gamble. Manny is a frigging nole. Rich kid with Cane alum for daddy and still goes to Tally -- please, that smells like a weasel to me.

Take your race crap over a nole board where it has merit. They condemned Willie from the start by declaring they were going to make a minority hire. That immediately set the image of not being the best available coach, just an acceptable minority hire. He was better hire than Randy since he had lot of HC experience including a major power. Randy was a Cane so he did better as is always the case. ****, Mark proved that by the fact that when he sucked, he retired and left millions on the table, unlike that nole Bobby who went kicking and screaming. White, back or any color, Canes are better. We supersede race or politics so stop with the Uncle Luke crap.(It was good to see him trash someone else other than Miami for once)
