Fine, how about 1972-78?

First off because 1972-78 is SEVEN seasons. Math is not your thing apparently.

And also because 1972-78 is much closer to the average than, say, 1983-1989 would be (again, that's 7 years).

But go ahead and do it. Let's drop the best 6 years and the worst 6.

Miami wouldn't be top 20.

How about we subtract 6 years from Texas, fsu, us, USC, or OSU? Would they be elite with 2 or fewer NCs?

Again, you don't seem to have read any of this thread.

USC and Ohio State have many more elite seasons (and over a much longer time) than Miami.

FSU and Texas might be in the same boat as us.

But, again, you don't even know what this thread was about and you're yapping.

Funny.

No disrespect to you of course, g8rh8rMD. I'm a fan of yours. He wrote it the way he did though.

Fair enough fam. Feeling is mutual, bro! Can’t speak to what brother meant, but clarified mine, just in case.

Edit: my bad for presuming what dude might have been trying to say after re-reading. I shoulda let him speak for himself, but wanted to try and clarify my point.

I approve of all rumors that distract VT.

Why not? Spread it far and wide.

Here we go again with the UF delusion. Stoops didn't even want that job when he still wanted to coach. He's done. Yet now he's going to go to UF. LULZ

The Franchise I could care less what bum UFelony eventually hires. If it causes a distraction for VT this week, I’m all in on fake news.

You went to St Mary's didn't you

Ten wins doesn’t make you a championship program...national championships do

Stop it. Spurrier, as much as I hate him/it, raised UF to Miami (and FSU)'s level. Look at where UF was as a program before he got there. Tulane had more SEC titles than UF did.

he raised it but no where near um/fsu level at the same time.

Actually, he raised it above where UM was for most of the 90s

miami and fsu are two names people think of when they think of college football. the gators never developed that brand.

Most people outside of the state can't remember who is the Seminoles or Gators. I run into that all the time with casual fans of college football. When I say it's FSU week, they say the Gators. Most also think we're some big state school and shocked at the size when I tell them.

Funny.

You know what? You've convinced me. What a pathetic program Miami is, I can't believe I ever thought they were among the top teams in football. My whole life is basically a lie, thank you for showing me the truth of how thoroughly average Miami really is. Now I can join you in converting fools on this board from their false fanhood. You are a true American hero.

I'm off to root for a real team with a real record of being elite...one I can take pride in. Want to join me on the bama boards, or are you already over there?

Oh, and if you respond to this can you just do it in one post? Or will your narcissism not allow that?

The latter

Classic fanboy post.

Lame and without substance.

Nice job with the single post. Unless I just responded too quickly. Whatever, who we rooting for these days? Should we go right to bama, or is there an edgier but still elite pick? USC maybe? They've done a ton of winning and are super-relative every year. Maybe PSU, or was JoePa's run not long enough to get them in the club? Probably just stick with bama, right?

Again, you are incapable of not being a fanboy loser.

Somehow because I crushed you on this you pull out this pathetic "better fan" smack.

It's lame.

You look desperate.

You don’t crush anybody. You never have any semblance of a clue of what you’re talking about and you have your head too far up your *** to see that you don’t.

Your argument makes no fcking sense and that makes me look desperate? Enjoy your *********ory posting, I'm taking my desperate *** out of here.

Florida isn’t any type of blue blood program. You take out Urban Meyer and they’re a perennial 9 win team, I would take UT or the Nebraska job before I took the UF job.

And if you take out a decade of our history we're pretty mediocre historically, too.

Maybe 2 decades, but with a fraction of the resources they and the rest of CFB darlings have.. What's the(ir) excuse?

Okay, but are you counting the years before programs like Bama integrated and let black people play football? Because I don't recognize non-integrated football championships.

Hey, your buddy Piccolo is back and at it again.
See Doppelganger comments.
This dude must be a real treat around the dinner table during the holidays.

People are just incompetent *****.

I wonder what it must be like to be this pathetic that all you can do is change the subject.

I already said that I had no comment either way(Post #139 ).
You're a funny dude.
Go away little man.

I live in Houston and can confirm the above ^

Some of stupidest arguments I've seen on this site is by dongpoolgagger, worst troll going. Do your self a favor and avoid his nonsense.

Like someone else stated I don't want to defend them either but they are/should be a top program. They are in the state of Florida, have lots of money, and are in the SEC. Any good coach would kill it there. Plus Saban is gone soon and there will be far less competition.
