6-6!? My your optimistic. They might not even get to the bowl they squeaked into last year.

I want to be elite again i dont even care no more about them. I want miami elite (and probably am faced with reality that will never happen again)
word up. this is what we do now? we celebrate noles loss after we get embarrassed on a national showcase game?

We have so many issues, but a really good QB could compensate for a lot of them.

Only reason the game was remotely competitive last night was because of Francois. If Taggart had Blackman starting, it would've been bad.

Don't let the 3 interceptions fool you, he was making some good throws out there. But that dominant defense that Fisher had all of those years in Tally is long gone.

Wait...what??

If corch Richt doesn't start Williams, Perry or even Weldon, we will lose to FSU. Should have lost to FSU last year, if it wasn't for the miracle catch by Langham.
Even if that pass falls incomplete we were well within FG range and in position to tie the game at the end of regulation. Don't know why you would be so willing to concede the win to them that easily. We earned that win because Langham actually made a play. That was no fluke.

We can go back and breakdown video all day long, the thing about coach richt is simple, when you check his history when it comes to qb's, he normally doesnt start young guys unless that's all he has. From the times he was with Fsu, to UGA, he ideally likes to start 3rd year guys behind center. He was conflicted, he wanted to put weldon in, but he didnt want weldon to take a beating nor did he want weldon to look decent and create a qb controversy while perry is suspended, cause had weldon come in and did better than rosier, most would've been calling for cade next week, when according to what seems to be the consensus, perry is the one balling and he and wade are the most accurate and the ball is coming out quicker. But had wade come in and did well, than richt would be looking like a dummy not starting weldon again, and than running the risk of perry transferring as well.

Keep in mind perry and cade's spring and scrimmage stats were against the 1st team defenses, while rosier's were against the second team, on one hand this seems backwards, on the other hand, this does speed up the development of the young qb's.

Im not defending coach richt but i could see why he stuck with rosier, and that was to avoid the controversies as well as who would want to stick their young qb's in their behind that o-line against that defense. This is going to be an interesting year, but we had guys coming wide open all game long, rosier doesnt normally make anticipation throws or have the accuracy to get in their. Its better to have a qb who can hit open guys than one that knows the playbook and checks but not only can he barely hit open guys, he has a hardtime finding them.

Wait...what??

Francois comparing to Malik was a lot better at throwing the ball. Yes, 3 interceptions is really bad. But at least Francois was accurate and poised in the pocket. This is also why trying to grasp an entirely new offense in game 1. Whereas Malik has now been in Richt's offense for 3 years and still looks entirely lost.

In short - Francois wasn't great, but he was decent against a really good VT defense.

Dude Frenchy looked completely lost and a mess out there. Yeah he has an arm but is terrible a reading defenses and when he runs he trips over his own feet.

First game in a complex offense. Still threw for 63%. I'm not going to go into a long diatribe trying to debate on Rosier vs Francois, because fck FSU.

The best part was letting out fans see how making an offense too complex before the team and qb can execute the simple stuff can be disastrous.

fsu tries to run some dumb **** our fans want richt to do in the redzone and they fumble it trying to be too ****. and people want to see Rosier with all those gimmicks? come on man. gtfoh

they had 4 turnovers with a darn good qb in Francois. switch rosier and francois and we beat lsu going away and FSU loses by 40+.

i refuse to criticize richt for anything bit but his personnel decisions because the offense os just fine

Exactly this! As i was watching the game I thought the same thing. Some many ppl think you need all these gimics. It’s never the gimics it’s the timing of the play call and the execution. The top 4 teams over the past 5 years don’t run this stuff. They run simple plays executed flawlessly and their OCs usually have a good feel for the game. You can’t have a good feel for the game when you go 3 and out every possession for entire quarters.

Was Cade and Perry facing the 1s? Don't remember that

This season was and in some ways is still setup for us to own the state of Florida. FSU will be awful and UF should be right behind or slightly ahead of them. Unfortunately, we blew our first chance on the national stage to prove this to the nation.

Who cares about FSU right now?? They have played one game just like the Canes. Come in off the ledge and stop acting like the sky is falling. :neonu:

But we're asking for in his third year not his first game. There is a difference.

And, I would go with some of Fuente's concepts, like starting now.

I have to say Mike Bianchi's column today re FSU is rather amusing.....LOL

Here are some things i know, you cant have a mediocre o-line and a mediocre qb at the same time. You either gotta have a dominant o-line with a mediocre qb or a playmaker at qb to go with a mediocre o-line. But with have the trifecta, mediocre o-line, mediocre qb and a mediocre punting game, going to be tuff to win games against the better teams with thise 3 weak spots.

It doesnt matter what year the coach is. it matters if the players can

No. You cant do complex **** without executing simple **** 1st. what dont yall get about that? doesnt matter if its 1st year or 5th.

if u cant drop back and consistently hit a hitch route how tf are you going to send 2 guys in motion, get set, do a fake handoff, then make the throw?

you can add as much gimmick and window dressing as you want. it wont matter. youll look like FSU last night. sloppy and full of mistakes

Of all the years I've been watching college football, that was the worst performance I've ever seen from a Florida State team. I don't even know what I was watching.

Voila! I was thinking the same notions the past 24 hours, or so. Metaphorically speaking mind U. In other words, there's no way the Cane defense can carry those questionable units the entire season!
