My takeaway is so simple even someone with a lobotomy gets it.

A really good QB can mask a lot of faults.

Remember how talented we were in 1999, but we had a QB that made the O sputter week after week? Insert a steady, smart QB and the rest is history. Now as a team we are nowhere near our 1999 level, but the QB situation is eerily similar.

That’s true, but our Defense still gave up 587yds.

Which means while we can score very well, we can’t stop anybody.

Again, I’m saying the game will be closer than it should be, I’m not saying we’re going to lose.

This isn't a defense of Diaz (or the Diaz defense) , but I believe Pitt had the #3 scoring offense coming into the game and a QB who was getting Heisman hype. We actually held Pitt to more than 11 points below their scoring average. They also got gifted a TD to start the game so should have been 27 points rather than 34. I don't think FSU has anywhere near as good an offense. They also almost certainly will lose next week to NC St and will be on a multi game losing streak when they play UM. The D is porous so they might score some points , but I expect UM to win similar to the UNC - UM game, something like 45-24

Luckily FSU’s Defense is just as bad as ours, so we should win in a shoot out in Doak.

But I’m about 95% certain we will not blow out FSU like we have the last two seasons, we should win, but it will be a closer game than it should be.

They will run on us some. I don't think their pass rush is as good as Pitt's though.

Yeah our Tackles will be fine will be fine against FSU. Pittsburgh has elite passing QB. He carves up everyone including Clemson.

We have faced legit QB's and offenses most of the year.
