I could be wrong, but I believe I recall that he was the one who wanted a little buyout should Florida State not do the investments he asked for and he wanted to leave so that it wouldn’t be onerous on another school

It's all bs. The extension was an amendment to his original contract. It only changed the buyout he would pay to FSU should he move to another school.

The amount FSU would pay if they fire him is still 85% of the remainder of his contract. So, if they can his *** after this season, their buyout to him would be nearly $62M. He isn't going anywhere for quite some time. LOL
