We played Boston College in 2023. Everyone here has seen Castellanos play at least once. He is what he is. A dynamic runner who is a below average passer. He had 1,000 yards rushing at BC in 2023 and they were 86th in scoring. Gus had a bunch of those guys at UCF and every year they had a great rushing offense and terrible pass offense. Like most one dimensional, run heavy teams, if they fall behind, they can’t come back.
I was more surprised Bama looked completely unprepared for a Malzahn offense.. Like he didnt do anything he doesnt usually do.. I would imagine teams get film and shut it down but Wommack at Bama had them boys not able to cover simple jet sweeps and even the sugar huddle pitch out that Malzahn ALWAYS does..

His offense got figured out years ago and he said it would, hasnt really evolved. Got a bag from being a high school coach but couldnt believe bama was getting cooked by simple stuff.. Castellanos is a wild card but they looked unprepared as entire operation

He was right around a 60% completion guy at BC. All those INTs were a result of playing from behind most games.

9-14, with a couple drops, yesterday against Bama.
That’s about what you’re going to get from Castellanos on a good day. You throw just enough to keep the defense honest. He had as many runs as he did pass attempts. As long as you don’t get into a position where you need to throw the ball, he can be effective. If you fall behind or the running game just isn’t producing, you’re not winning. The more he has to throw, the worse the offense will be.

FSU got OC Gus Malzahn and DC Tony White this off-season, and that made a huge difference. Castellanos is the perfect fit for this offense. Danzy is a freshman playing in his first game, and Malzahn finds a way to use him.

Malzahn has been designing high level run games for a couple of decades now. And Tony White is a great DC.

FSU has this win and 3 winnable games before they meet our Canes on October 4th. If the Noles are undefeated leading up to that game, they will be ranked in the top 20. This season could end up having another UM v FSU classic (with UM winning, of course).

Same. I watched a lot of UCF the last few years. I went to school there so I follow the program even though I don’t really root for them. FSU did nothing that the Malzahn hadn’t already been doing for years. FSU wasn’t moving the ball up and down the field but I was surprised Alabama got caught flat footed so many times.

Alabama’s offense being absolutely anemic meant that FSU could just keep running the ball and killing clock because Bama wasn’t going to score.

They’d be top 15 in your scenario because they’ll be top 20 this week. They’re the talk of college football right now.

Yes, there was nothing new here. To look this bad is unforgiveable.

Yeah. And interestingly enough their RBs didn’t really do anything yesterday. That offense will run through him. Slow him down and get the behind the sticks early, and they’re screwed. Better team for sure, but nowhere near the Top 10 that FSU fans are talking about right now. That D had major red flags yesterday, covered up by a Bama O that couldn’t get out of its own way. Secondary is bad

This you?

You sobbed like a little ***** when some made predictions and now you are what? Some said FSU was better than record with a QB and had us at home…

🤡

Next time don’t be so quick to criticize when you know absolutely **** about football.

Man what the **** you talking bout......***** yo mama a *****. All I said what happens in 1 game doesn’t mean that itwill happen in our game. It's gonna be up to UM to dictate the outcome.

The more he runs the more he gets beat up too.
