FSU vs Alabama

Okay, if that's the case, then the Bull Elephants are going to force DeBoer to hire an OC and a DC who know what the f**k they're doing.

Gus Malzahn walked all over the Tide's D today. Alabama had NO answer.

Heatherman has to beat the Irish tomorrow night then go through the next four weeks undefeated. He better have an answer for Gus Malzahn, because that's going to be a National Marquee Game if both teams are undefeated.

Don't want to put the cart before the horse, but just a thought.
Saban hand picked DeBoer so old Nick was probably on the phone with him right after game telling him who to hire to shore things up in the trenches.

the way deboer runs it is different than saban.

Dabo brings his guys and then hires the guys he coached and then promotes like that because thats how he got the job at clemson.

The ad likely panicked and the agent sold on the shiny objet of Deboer. Dabo likely would have had to be pried a bit away from clemson in that moment. And he seems loyal to staff probably more than any opther hc so didnt uproot...but please believe if its a planned thing hes at the top of list for the most part.
I doubt Dabo will ever be considered for Bama if he continues to refuse to embrace the changes in college football. It won’t happen.
The fan base and boosters expect wins. Loyalty isn’t part of the vocabulary

Deboer is toast. Culture is weak and soft. NIL or not them kids aren’t bought in. Saw it all last year as well.

Malzahn went to a championship with Nick Marshall. He is will win some games with this kid at QB. Match made in heaven for them. Their defense looked aggressive. DL is big but slow so I will see how they look as the year wears on.

FSU will be better this year due to their coaching changes.

Bama is 9 win team at best.

Alabama isnt winning 9 games.

I told everyone on this board Castellanos is a very talented QB who was a BAD fit for Bill O'Briens offense, and that he will be much better at FSU, and got laughed off the board by some.

We played Boston College in 2023. Everyone here has seen Castellanos play at least once. He is what he is. A dynamic runner who is a below average passer. He had 1,000 yards rushing at BC in 2023 and they were 86th in scoring. Gus had a bunch of those guys at UCF and every year they had a great rushing offense and terrible pass offense. Like most one dimensional, run heavy teams, if they fall behind, they can’t come back.

He fits that system. But when they run into a team with a defense that can stop their run they're cooked. He's not a good passer.

Think he's gonna prove to be a better passer than you think. Not below average at all.

He threw the ball 14 times yesterday. Let’s pump the brakes. Great win for fsu though, obviously. Jaylin Lucas being back makes a big difference for them. He might be one of the 3 fastest kids in the league. But Castellanos isn’t winning games having to throw the ball 30+ times.

Was shocked at how poorly Bama's o-line held up against the FSU dline. Wasnt Proctor's side that struggled, but I also wasnt incredibly impressed with him. Big, powerful tackle, but slow feet. Can't tell if Bama oline was overrated or fsu is good at dline

I think those sacks were on Simpson. He held the ball too long

A bit of both. What got me was that FSU looked faster, more athletic and more physical than Bama. Sucks for me living in Tally becuase this is all I'll hear about for weeks.

Did Ryan Williams have money on the game? Sheesh.
It seemed to me Simpson was feeding Bernard. They did try to bracket Williams some to take him away. Jeremiah Smith only had 40 yards yesterday. Teams are not letting them beat them. You gotta find somebody else

Yeah. Good win for FSU but people need to pump the brakes a bit. Bama far worse this year than people anticipated, and there were red flags for FSU yesterday. In particular. That D doesn’t look great, especially the secondary. They also have zero depth at various positions, and run first O that Malzahnburns has a lot of wear and tear
