All that talk by some about what an offensive genius Norvell is. Then he goes and calls back to back plays on the 2 yd line on 3rd and 4th down trying to have, slow, stiff, plodding Ukelele run it in for the TD. Not surprisingly he gets stuffed both times, they turn it over on downs, and get no points. Sheer offensive genius!

DJU is not the only issue on this team; all those portal DLmen stink. He hit HRs on Johnson, Fisk, & Verse, & this next batch have been woeful. The Portal can giveth, can taketh, & can deceiveth.

Their issue is that everyone else is doing the portal thing now. There’s way more competition (NIL) for the top portal guys now so they had to settle for some tier two and tier three portal guys and those guys just aren’t good players. Look at guys like Johnson, Fiske and Verse before FSU. They were highly productive at their old schools. Now look at the guys they got from the portal this time. A bunch of guys who couldn’t get in the field. No proven production. Just a bunch of former top recruits who would be considered busts.

The biggest difference between G5 and P4 teams is the trench talent. There’s only so many super athletic 300 pound dudes in the world. Most of them are at the highest level programs. That’s also why Rhett is such a good coach for them. He knows he doesn’t have the horses up front so he schemes around it. Like he did when he was OC here. Lesser coaches would say “we just don’t have the linemen to compete but when we finally get some, we’ll be good”. Lashlee isn’t just hoping that one day he’ll have a good line. He runs his offense to beat take advantage of what he has.

The difference is they grabbed highly ranked castaways instead of all-conference players.

Well, if he wasn’t, then fsu got hoodwinked big time! The corn row to bama rumors are what gave him the leverage to restructure and extend his current 10 year 84 million contract the noles are on the hook for.

If the noles were to buy him out right now, they would only owe him 65 million or 85% of what’s left on his contract.
