Placing this on the recruiting board because this topic does concern recruiting; FSU is under immediate scrutiny by the U.S. Department of Education. It appears by all accounts that the Department of Education will find they violated TITLE IX and compliance with TITLE IX is an integral part of the NCAA requirements. FSU could be looking at penalties as strict as those imposed on Penn State.

Here is an article from yesterday's USA Today:

http://www.usatoday.com/story/sport...state-university-assault-allegations/9396459/

Excerpt: "The school's leaders are unabashedly using him, hoping he stays one step ahead of the law long enough to win them more games this coming season.

Sounds harsh? You bet it does. But we all know it's true. How else do we explain a university almost completely abdicating its duties under the law involving the handling of a sexual assault case, much less the care and education of a young man who just turned 20 in January?

We gotta start winning and stop hating on all other schools

USA Today:

"Winston was not charged criminally, but Florida State is under investigation by the Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights for its handling of sexual assault cases. The woman filed a complaint in March.

Under Title IX, schools are required to investigate complaints of sexual assault regardless of any criminal investigation."

And what have you ever brought to this board Mr. Sunshine... Every single one of your posts is always bashing someone or something. Who cares if OP posts about FSU and Winston... you know **** well sure they posted every article about Shapiro and us. Difference here is this is all trying to be swept under the rug in Tally so it is a big deal.

Actually, if you look at history the status of the other Florida schools has always mattered. Seldom are all three big ones really good at same time. Usually one or two are going down or just starting to climb up. The other one or two then have some dominance. All three U felon NCs came while Miami was in dumps. The last two had Criminoles in trash heap also. Felons are down now. If Criminoles get smahed up, it will clear a lot of recruiting space for us and a chance to regain position. We have more talent now than a long time. We are on road back, even if it takes a new staff to get there. It is silly to think that clipping Criminoles' feathers will not help us. They are as dirty as any sec program.

FSU really messed up by challenging the SECs dominance. I wonder if Steve Spurrier made a few anonymous phone calls?
