FSU Small Man QB Confident

The only game I remember us rushing was UCLA 98, and it was a very half-assed rush. Probably because no one was there. I was in high school and decided to go for it and wound up in a group that carried Edge off the field.
Your recollection is wrong. There were a good 60K there. And the field rush was spontaneous, but serious. People dodged cops and scuffled with them, who were totally unprepared.

Yeah, it was a tentative rushing of the field. Roughly 46k in attendance, about half went on the field as I recall. Me and a buddy were sitting 9th row behind the home bench and went up to the wall. He wanted to jump down, but I said no.
We were rewarded by Butch walking along the wall and high fived us and every one along the that wall.

Official attendance was 46,819.
When they canceled the original game due to the hurricane, they weren’t sure when they were going to make it up. They announced the new date a week or two later and allowed you to change your seats if you called in the day tickets went back on sale.

We went from mediocre seats to 9th row, section S home side.
I only remember because it was the best seats I ever had at the OB and because of how memorable a game it was.

Our DEs are going to come screaming off the edges to decapitate him, and he knows this. So he’s going to tuck it and run and that’s where the game will be decided.

DTs need to flush the pocket to cut off those runs and we need a spy ready to blast his little 4th Grade *** into oblivion if he somehow makes it beyond the LOS.

We cannot give up any quick, short passes once he takes off because he’s going to try to exploit the middle of the field and our secondary. Because if we allow that to happen and he gets in a rhythm, then he’s going to take downfield kill shots.

If we play tough, smart, assignment football we win easily.

This part I remember well. The four people who jumped the barrier before me all got police batons to the ribs. Then I saw there were no other cops left with them being occupied and made a run for it. As to attendance, they may have announced 60, but there was zero chance that was accurate. It was right after Thanksgiving break, so the student section was largely empty, and so was the upper deck.

The few times we’ve been challenged deep on 50/50 balls it has not gone well for us. I think they will do that a lot to mitigate the pass rush. OJ got big boyed by Fields and Nemrod. Their guy is better than both IMO. They aren’t going to ask him to sit back and read the defense. It’s gonna be throw it up to 0
I hope so. Fitzgerald might have a 3 pick game.
