This is Miami-FSU week. Seriously not the time for this doom and gloom crap. If NC State and Virginia can give the Noles a game so can we.
If we win, it would be our biggest regular season victory since 2000 Miami vs. FSU.
I really hope that everyone would be able to enjoy that victory, but I doubt it.
No it would not be the biggest regular season win in 14 years.
If Brad Kaaya leads us to a victory over the reigning champion Seminoles and their Heisman Trophy winning quarterback, it wouldn't just be the biggest win since that game... it would be almost the exact same game.
What win did you have in mind in the past 14 years that would rival ruining Florida States national title hopes as an unranked team with a freshman quarterback?

What win did you have in mind in the past 14 years that would rival ruining Florida States national title hopes as an unranked team with a freshman quarterback?
'02 FSU, '03 FSU, '04 FSU, '05 VT, '09 OU, '11 OSU, and '13 UF.
The fact that Kaaya is a freshman QB is irrelevant. In today's game, age is by and large a moot point at the position especially when thus far he is the best QB since Berlin. I will not handicap expectations and talent evaluations based on age.
Strong work here.I really hope that something tragic happens to Joe Tessitore.
He sucks in every arena. Hate'em as a boxing commentator as well.
That voice is the most overzealous, pretentious, and obnoxious voice this side of DBJ
**** you Joe

But then again, regardless of age when is the last time the Canes beat a team on a 25 game winning streak ranked #2 in the nation? That's pretty big

This is just so silly. Which of those teams was on a 25 game winning streak and on their way to a second national title with a Heisman trophy winner QB who had never lost a start? The idea that this would be the biggest win in your mind since ... 2013 UF. I honestly just feel bad for you if you feel that way.
And if you think experience is irrelevant in ANY sport, especially at a position like QB, than there's really not much to say. I agree, Kaaya is great, but if you EXPECT him to never make a freshman mistake it just makes you unreasonable, not smart.

Not really. Those FSU teams were better than this one. That's why it's bigger and it kept the Miami program alive when we on the downturn. Also, beating those VT, OU, and OSU teams kept us on the radar where the program would have been much worse had we lost.
This would be the biggest win since '13 UF. Which game in between then and now would you consider bigger? I feel bad for you if you feel that we've won a bigger game since then or you don't realize how important of a win it was. It's a shame you're unaware.
There's multiple true freshmen QB's that have gotten snaps this season and performed. So the stigma attached to them isn't what it used to be and they are coming into the college game much more prepared than before.
My argument wasn't about experience. It was about talent and ability so you're disapproving the experience argument is pointless. And I of course expect him to make mistakes, but to classify them as, "freshmen," mistakes is a misnomer. The mistakes Kaaya has made this season are the type of mistakes that seasoned veterans make. He has played like a seasoned veteran and has an above-average IQ for the position regardless of his age. Therefore, it's perfectly, "smart," or acceptable to expect him to play at the level he has showcased and maybe your Chicken Little excuses should be tabled. He's better than you're giving him credit for. Not expecting similar quality of play that we've seen for 9 games thus far on your part is unreasonable, not smart.

Yep. That about does it.
You just said that FSU was better with Chris Rix under center than with Jameis under center. Clearly, you just simply need to watch a lot more football.
