players from Tampa. A former FSU player told me yesterday it's a generally accepted fact among FSU players that players recruited from SoFl will play over players from Tampa. That's because SoFl is FSU's lifeline are players from South Florida. They can't afford to have SoFl recruits thinking they might not play. A dip in SoFl talent would seriously impact FSU so they give SoFl players preferential playing time. Not that most don't earn it, but that's what I was told.

So then why would any player outside from south Florida want to play there? And why are still killing everyone in recruiting? I'm being serious when I ask, why wouldn't former FSU players from that region and Tampa area coaches steer their kids away from there?

Well a majority of their best players this past year werent from SoFl

Winston
Goldman
Edwards
Ramsey

They have a ton coming this upcoming season they are definately going to rely on them this year

Guess we get to see the different coaching methods between Al and Jimbo as they both begin their second year...

probably because they are better than they players they are playing over, as well. me thinks that's the reason why

and a dip in sofl talent wouldn't hurt them most of their good players arent even from downthere & they get kids from everywhere

Because players don't leave that program and want to snitch like Snitch Phillips or Snitch Wright, or Snitch Marve.

Also, the local high school coaches and community at large are much more supportive. They aren't owed as much for their great leadership of men. Even the Publix is on board with their complimentary all you can eat crab program.

Lmao, your source doesn't realize FSU hasn't recruited that area very well. Gator territory.

So name 1 Tampa player that should have started. Wilder?
It's not like FSU lands more than a couple of Tampa players per year.

My cousin plays for fsu and was a prominent 4star rb in their 2013 recruiting class... This is somewhat true IMO as well

Let me guess your cousin is the guy that got switched to DB I forgot his name.... he sound like a hatter cook is the best RB on the team that's why he got PT over him it don't have nothing to do with being from sofla that kid from Orlando is gonna get a lot of burn this year hes not from sofla.

Yeah Ryan green is my cousin. He likes it at fsu which is why he made the switch to cb to get on the field earlier and the possibility of making more money at cb rather than rb in the league. I agree cook was by far the better back in my opinion. All that glitters ain't GOLD is all Ima say about fsu...

So as a true Fr Ryan Green would have started over Freeman in 2013 or Cook last year? They're the only SoFl RBs on their roster...

This makes no sense though. FSU doesn't develop player from South Florida.

considering their ranking coming out of highschool and where they wered drafted compared to miamis prospects you can argue that point. In the time being please quit talking sh*t foreal man.

Where was Ken Dorsey drafted? What does the draft have to do with productive collegiate players?

You used as an example Dorsett vs. Greene. Give me Greene all day in college and in the pro's as well.

You used as an example, Walfor vs. O'Leary. Give me either one in college. By the way, did you notice how every single TE drafted ahead of O'Leary was at least one inch taller or more?

The funny thing about both comparisons, you compared our S. FL native against two out of staters....pretty smart.

I'm not talking ****, just pointing out the hypocrisy you keep trying to sell.
Edit: A players ranking coming out of high school isn't a projection to the NFL. It's a projection of what they're expected to become in college. It's funny you can't separate the two as there are a bunch of collegiate athletes who due to size, speed, or whatever don't translate to the NFL. Where was Bernie drafted? He was said to be too small, but he proved them wrong.

I really don't give a sh*t tbh either way it goes, all I was trying to say in the post really was that Miami is developing their south Florida kids pretty good if you go by the draft. Several prospects AND coaches have stated pubically and privately that they wouldn't go to or allow their kids to go to Miami because they supposedly wasn't developing the players enough.. That was my whole point and people on here blew it out of proportion man... My bad if it didn't come off as just that the other day...

Wonderful responses in this thread and the idiocy you displayed in your thread. No problem, don't address what I said....I wouldn't if I were you. You need a bath after all the egg on your face from the other thread.
