If FSU ever offered Butch the HC job, he wouldn’t even bother saying goodbye to anyone at FIU, he’d leave so fast. He wouldn’t even pack a bag, he would just fly out of there and get on the first plane to Tallahassee. Sadly for him, no P5 program will be offering.

I get it that you’re loyal to Butch, but be realistic. His track record shows he’ll always leave for the better opportunity.

Look, I respect the fact that you're standing up for your friend. I respect what Butch did over 20 YEARS AGO at the U.

Butch is at FIU - for whatever reason. He ain't coming to the U.

Coulda, shoulda, woulda. I respect the past successes of the U but prefer to look forward to what's in store for the future.

For the record, I've been a Cane for 52 years since I was 8 years old. I've been through **** and back with this team. No one wants to see this team successful more than I. If you were around in the 70's, you know exactly what I'm talking about.

Taggert getting paid 5 million yearly for six years and a total of 30 mil.

If they could buy him out at 20, it would be a steal as the damage he'll do over the course of that contract is far more.

Then they would even have some leftover for a bargain bin special like Botch. It would be interesting to see the fanboys reactions to that around here.
 
Wow people love them some Butch. It's so ironic that our two most prolific coaches ever (besides Jimmy) Butchy and Schnelly, both accomplished Hall of Fame worthy feats at Miami but neither will ever receive the recognition they deserve.

No one can give an explanation for why Butch was never offered at USC (both), Tex, Tenn, UF, FSU, Oregon, LSU, Tex A&M, VT, etc if he's supposedly the best coach in the country.

Taggert may be at FSU for a while, if Richt turns out to be his batch. (Like Richt was Muschump and MclWains byatch)
 
I’ve said it before.

Taggart’s resume is glaringly more superficial than Golden’s was

Big East had recently lost WVU before he was hired.

I believe Pitt and Syracuse left just before his first season.

Louisville and Rutgers were number 4 & 5 to leave for power 5

OLeary was in the way out at UCF

And iirc, before Willies big season at USF, Fuente left Memphis for VT, and Lincoln Riley left ECU for OU

Also USF did not play Houston in 2016 (the Tom Herman Houston)


And the best part is FSU cannot fire him in his first season. Even better, he can’t help but improve on 2-10 next year.

Would not surprise me in the least if we lose to FSU. In reality, there is no reason why Miami shouldn't kill these purse wearing pussies. But with Rosier, our OL and CMR's conservative play calling, you never know.
 
Butch - one of best recruiters ever
- Really really average game day coach ... not just at UM but also No Carolina
