FSU Duke video + notes

Here’s the condensed game since we’ve play both in our next 2 games.

Observations in order:

1. FSU OL is bad, the guards and RT in particular. If we don’t have 4+ sacks I’ll be really disappointed

2. The way FSU aligns their LBs and safeties, if we can utilize any misdirection in the run game or quick game from TEs + slot WRs we will score a lot. I’d also dial up a CJ24 swing pass or two

3. Duke defense arm tackles and gets pushed backwards consistently.

4. Although we will win, what fsu tries to do on offense will play right into our weaknesses on Def, poor angles to the alley and edges

5. Both fsu QBs can run a little bit

6. FSU kicker is pretty solid

7. We should have a concerted effort to get TEs going over the middle, opportunities for big plays will be there

8. This is a HUGE Get-Right opportunity for the Defense, I’m hoping they take advantage of it rather than continuing the blunders.

9. We SHOULD cruise the next 2 weeks, would love to see some young pups play

Kam Davis and Darius Washington both got hurt against Duke. Neither looked very promising. I think both will be out. We’ll see.

FSU has legit talent on D, arguably the best D we'll face. Their offense however appears to be epically bad, if we give up more than 17 the entire D staff should be fired.

Of course they will every QB does, we will blitz everyone, they will throw screens or quick passes to the flats, then we will proceed to miss tackles.

Good post here. Excellent scouting for our next two opponents, which is why I watched that past game like a hawk.

Truly believe if we use a lot of our base defense, we shut them both down. Enough with the continual blitzes that never seem to get home and leave lots of the field open to exploit.

We’ve got a lot of holes on defense and Norvell is no dummy

I’m not going to put certain parameters in place to deem it a success or not

I know this place will have a melt down if one of Norvells scripted drives goes right down the field on us but it’s a game where we should be able to overwhelm them eventually

Arroyo, Williams, Lofton get at least 2 td catches combined and even old man Cam gets a snag or two..
X, George and Horton will get theirs but I've got a good gut feeling TE U shows up big time in this one.
