UM won't build a stadium for 6 games a year... our best hope is to partner with the soccer team, and hope they build a 45- 50k seat stadium..
Not to mention we're in long *** term lease with SLS, which at least is getting renovations.
Can we stop with this argument already?
You can use it for more than 6 days a year. Do we use the BUC for only home basketball games?
Also, please let me know the buyout or any pertinent details?

What are they going to use it for, a few high school games? Big artists are going to go to sunlife before they go there.
.
Sun Life is gonna be nice when it's done.
Sun Life is gonna be nice when it's done.
Sure hope so.
Been there for plenty of games for Dolphins and Canes it can get plenty loud with a full stadium. With the new half roof or whatever you want to call it it will only be louder. The problem is we have a mediocre team and cant fill the stadium.Sun Life is gonna be nice when it's done.
Sure hope so.
that stadium is not fixable when it comes to creating a loud, crazy environment.

but as long as the stadium holds 75k + then we are doomed because we can't fill it for 90% of our games

I heard the new seating arrangement or whatever will bring it down to 65,000. Aren't they trying to bring the seats closer in and more fan-friendly?
Stadium should be done for the 2016 season. if true then that is awesome. does renovation begin taking place this winter?

Also, the pertinent details don't matter. Its a 25 year agreement, that's going to cost a ton of money to get out of.

Yes. And concerts, and wrestling, and other events. Not every concert is going to want to a 75,000 seat stadium. Tulane just built a 30,000 seat on campus stadium, and one of the major selling points was using it for more than 6 days a year. You're being naive to think it would be used 6 times a year.

Ignoring your comment about "pertinent details don't matter" (wow). Spoken like a true potato.
You can use it for concerts, other UM sporting events, other sporting events in general (soccer, HS football or bowl games) and anything else you could possibly imagine. So please cut the chit with the 6 days a year. Side note, we played 7 home games this year.
Still don't see UM building a stadium even if they get 12 events yearly. I'm willing to bet I'm right about that too. Like I said earlier, the best hope is to partner with the soccer team and hope its a 40- 50k capacity stadium.
They really don't, do you need to know of is 500k a year or a mil a year to know that buying out of a 25 year agreement is going to cost tons of money? Just trying to get out of a 5 year office lease would cost me 90k..

You sound like a tremendous dipchit saying the buyout, the buyout, the buyout but you don't know any of the terms of the buyout. With any agreement, the buyout is a way to end the agreement IMMEDIATELY. Hence the buyout is pertinent to anyone discussing THE ***ING BUYOUT. Since your dumbass brought it up, you should probably know something about it.
Like I said don't bring up the buyout unless you ***ing want to share some knowledge with everyone (i.e. the pertinent details). We all know there is some buyout but no one can speak with any certainty as to pertinent details. Also, stop quoting 25 year lease. We're in year 7 and this season is almost over. We're about 30% done. So please let us know the buyout terms with 18 years left on the lease.
Kudos to bringing in some other bullchit about a 5 year random office lease; wow.
Once again, when you own a stadium you can use for whatever and whenever. So stop with 12 events yearly. How about naming rights? Did you think we can generate revenue with that? How about splitting revenue? When you own the stadium, you get to keep 100% of the sales (parking, concessions, tickets etc.).

get back to me in 15 years when we still don't have our own stadium built by us.
