From an out-of-stater, how good is UF now?

I know we hate the Gators, but it's now #7 among national public universities per US News.

My daughter was accepted.

How hard is it to get in stste tuition after a few years?

Love Miami, but UF at $6k is hard to pass up.

It's supposed to be the best public university in the state. The only problem is they treat applicants like they're doing them a favor answering any questions. They also have limited on campus housing also.

FL will treat her as out of state as long as her parents are providing more than 50% of her support and live out of state.
