From 2013: Greg Schiano's Players Hate His Guts

Love the Fire Schiano sign at the end. They raised the dough for a Billbaord. Maybe they are cheaper in Tampa. Maybe he will fit in here after all.

I said as much in an earlier post. He's a crazy man! I heard one of his former players from Rutgers say that he wouldn't **** on Schiano if he was on fire! They hate him.

Between Josh Freeman, Largarete blount, Talib and the rest of the losers he had no chance
they were such a dumpster fire

of course they hated him, their last coach was dancing on tables with them

Maybe our players should revolt at this hire and all transfer.

Wouldn't be the first time a failed NFL guy came back to college and had success...just saying

Deadspin article, really? Yes style didnt go over well with NFL players. Thats a known fact that he's admitted mistakes with that. But other than Anthony Davis his Rutgers players have all praised him. Not everybody is gonna like you. Many players have said negative things about sucessful ex-coaches. In fact there was a handful of Rutgers that signed with Bucs to play for him.

He's not a fit as the HC here, but Schiano is a great pick for a middling team that wants to start something with their program. He should really just go back to RU. The pro players in Tampa hated him, but he had a cult like presence among the guys at Rutgers. I doubt it would be the same in Miami because of the personality differences among the Jersey players and the Florida players.

Dolphin players weren't exactly enamored with Saban when he was here either.

That may be all well and true but at let he doesn't have an ego like Mullen
