Did we not learn from the Golden mistake.?
No. They didn't learn from Shannon or Coker either. Our school prefers the self-inflicted cancer approach.

Right? Man, I can’t stand the pessimism here!
I bet we drum Duke for..... 15 points!,,

I think they keep looking for the wrong thing. They thought the answer to randy and al was an established coach. That wasn't a terrible idea, but savagery is what they should be prioritizing.
We scored 13 points against Virginia, had a bye week, then scored 14 points against BC

The reason we should have passed on ALbortion is simple.
If you’re hiring a younger guy who is the HC at a non-P5 school, then he has to dominate. He has to be winning the conference. He should have accomplished everything you can at that type of program. He should be making fools of those conference coaches.
ALbortion never achieved this at Temple.
Harley really thought he was helping things when he tipped that pass back up in the air

Right. I think that BJ//BOT/whoever makes these decisions thought the problem was that clappy/randy/al didn't have enough HC experience. How do you fix that? Get yourself a guy with lots of experience.
As I said, they missed the part about these guys not being killers. You're right, in place of al we would have been better off with an inexperienced guy who was at least kicking the crap out of bad teams with his bad team.
Bottom line, I think it's hard to find a coach who's going to be just right and I'm not confident that the next one will be better than the last several.
They added to the stupidity by giving him an extension... just like Coker and Radio

I am not saying that. I am just saying he shouldn't have been the guy.
I am not saying that either.
Until the system is fixed, then expect the next coach to:
1. Not be the right guy,
2. Get an unnecessary extension, and
3. Have zero pressure from the decision makers.
Unfortunately, until we bring a competent, passionate AD who has autonomy, expect more of the same.
I'm not arguing with you, I'm agreeing and adding my thoughts.
