Tulane beating Memphis might (but unlikely) have some very distant indirect impact on our CFP hopes because it helped USF a lot in their quest for the G5 spot. If USF wins out I’d like to think they’re in the CFP as the highest ranked G5 team which would give us a dominating win over a playoff team on our resume. Every little bit helps in our delusional hopes for a CFP bid
