Freshman QBs

I am hoping that JW was simply following directions. Maybe he was was instructed repeatedly, not to force throws, that it is better to live to fight another day, etc. If that is the case, I can live with it. Put it on the coaches and move on. If that is the case, then kid has presence of mind to follow instructions while in the heat of the battle. If not, then we simply have a gunshy QB with no instinct.

If he put up Nix like numbers and beat the crocs last week, then yeah, we would all be applauding him.

Winning is what matters.

We have atrocious fans. So, our QB has much better numbers than Nix, has two dropped TDs, a few other dropped passes, a kicker that missed a FG, and is playing behind two Frosh tackles...

But Miami fans are applauding a trash *** performance from Nix, who’s playing behind a MUCH MUCH more seasoned OL, because his team got lucky and won - even though he gave Oregon the ball twice to help their cause...

Jarren stat line was good if u just into reading box scores ..but we all watched the game and saw he left plays out there, made mistakes, and the oline did him no favors..our best playmaker did us no favors..in today’s day in age yes you can win with a young QB as long as you play complimentary football or have a transcendent talent

Or the simple fact Jarren has NEVER IN HIS LIFE SEEN A PASS RUSH LIKE THAT..that could be it

My concerns with JW are:

1) Inability or unwillingness to step up in the pocket
2) Instinct/feel for the game. Throw it away vs tuck & run
3) Confidence. Was he not letting it rip per coaches instructions or does he lack the moxy to trust his skills and teammates

The kid has the physical attributes to be a good QB.

No one is applauding Bo Nix, people understand he played awful.

The point you're missing is that most of us are simply tired of hearing excuses as to why our Offense keeps coming up short & the fact he's a Red Frosh isn't a legit excuse due to the fact that several other TF's have made their first start & still managed to succeed.

It's not all on Jarren, what we're simply saying is we need to get it done & stop always trying to find an excuse to let the coaches & the QB off the hook.

The UF game is a throw away, we gave up 10 sacks & still had chance to win but couldn't overcome their Defense, okay fine. But we don't wanna here the same sh*t vs UNC, they don't have a Defense half as good as UF's & they're not a top 10 team, let alone a top 40 team... It's time to win some games, not always have a pre made crutch ready for why we can't win.

Bo Nix’s numbers are awful. Awful. And the last time I checked, I don’t believe he had two freshman tackles playing in front of him. He was 13-31 177. 2/2. LMAO. You brothers can’t be serious. They got lucky.

Not to mention the fact that we had Brevin drop a TD and JT drop a TD. Plus the other dropped balls. If we catch the TD passes, and our kicker Hits a FG, JW gets a win and the stats aren’t even close.

Agreed; however, Gus let him work through the struggles, and that enabled him to take more of a leadership role down the stretch when it mattered. U clearly saw the frustration on him, and Gus would be right there just to talk w him, each time.

My problem w Enos, and it’s not so much Jarren, was that I asked where was Enos talking w Jarren. As much as I didn’t care for Coley, one thing I appreciated about him w Kaaya was after bad plays, he would pull him to the side & talked to him as a young QB.

There’s got a to be a fine balance of coaching, giving them confidence & holding them accountable when they r young.

Regardless, let’s see how Jarren & Enos does next Saturday. It was tough not watching them this week after a L

I love how some CIS phans clamour JW15 has no instinct or feel for the game.

After one not-so-great but not-so-terrible performance with a subpar supporting cast, in a new system, with new coaches.

We absolutely need to get it done. I agree. But the original post used Nix as an example, and it’s simply a TERRIBLE comparison. The details matter. He was trash with a seasoned OL.

Again, I agree. We must win. But, The Auburn game is a prime example of a team winning despite the quarterback play. If. JW’s teammates catch the ball and make the FG, our QBs win would look much more impressive than all the Frosh. His numbers would too.

Nope... I give you Malik Rosier year 2017 he went 10-2 regular season won games for us and the fan base hated him

You know what else those teams didn’t have? 4 turnovers like the team we played did. Weird that somehow they still found a way to win without the help. Know what else our team didn’t have? A double digit deficit.

I’m just mad because I think Jarren is better than all 3 and I think we are better than the 3 teams that one. But here we are 0-1. I’m also kinda hammered but whatever

I'm not following. All the aforementioned young QBs that won played awful defenses. Miami played an excellent defense. The Miami D gave the O a few extra opportunities, but then our special teams gave UF extra opportunities. What are you trying to say?

Enos better get it right. I’m a fan. But, I don’t want to see a stubborn approach vs an intelligent approach going forward. Looking forward to the UNC game.

What do all winning QBs have in common???

A serviceable to above average line. I woimd argue Oregon and Auburn OLs played even better than that.

Tom Brady couldn't be productive behind Miami's turnstiles.

Mufuggas love to move the goal posts..During the QB battle mufuggas was like give me the QB who doesnt throw the interception. AFter the first game its give me the QB who takes chances...

Jarren needs to improve as well as Enos...but I'd take 5 sacks over 2 int's any day of the week. I truly believe jarren didnt take chances because that was the gameplan, just like we didnt get d line pressure because the game plan was to contain Franks, Garvin even said it in the interview. I'm confident in our QB not confident in our OC yet tho

**** bro..so u put all the blame on Enos? Even tho there were plays Jarren left on the field? I thought Enos called the game about as well as u can given our oline play..that said I have confidence in Jarren as well cause he’s gonna get better after that game, so will the oline

None of these surprised me except Boise over FSU. I mean, How the **** does a power 5 Florida school loose to a team from Idaho???

Shoutout to Wendy’s for a free meal due to their systems being down. So clutch after an all day softball tournament.
