Jack wanted for 4 or 11, he is taking 11.
Pinckney is taking 56, he wanted 1.

Bethel is believed to be taking 93.

Beason wants Shaq to wear 2. Haven't heard anything on his number yet.

McClouds wants 3.

id really prefer for us to do away with the double number thing.. or maybe slowly phase it out for the older guys as they graduate, so they dont have to switch numbers.

but, obviously & ultimately, it's up to our new staff.

If Pinckney wanted 1 and didn't get it, who's switching to 1 from the current roster on D?

Just a heads up apparently it was Lockers assigned with numbers. Not sure if they will be final from reliable source.

he is taking 11.

Big shoes to fill.

Arthur Brown, Larry Hope, Michael Wyche?

Not a fan of single digits for LBs (Armstead excluded) but those kids as 1-2-3 would have been nice.

I got negged to Boliva for mentioning this same thing...actually, I just asked a question about it, and ppl started griping.

But I agree...Also, I would like if we held certain numbers in high regard for certain positions. Again, not that big of a deal.

Tyler Byrd should get #1 ...keep it in the secondary (kenny phillips, brandon harris, artie burns)

If they don't get the number they want...they need to understand a number don't make the player..the player makes the number...and the adage you dress for the job that you want not the one that you have...LBs in the NFL all wear 50s or 90s...and if it were me i would not change my number...I would want to maintain continuity in my own legacy...

it's almost unavoidable at this point when everyone does it. plus, if it makes a player happier to wear a certain number, why not?

This makes me happy. Hopefully, Jack can win the starting job in a year or two and I can replace my Dorsey jersey that is now ripped in multiple places.

That's exactly what CMR said about un-retiring Hershel Walker's number.

the adidas fan jerseys are pretty much garbage though. you can get some legit 2000s dorsey ones in good condition on ebay as long as you know how to spot a fake.

They actually also added 40's for LB's in the NFL last year. #44 for Shaq would be sick!

Anyone recall that story in college football lore of white LBs occupying #44 ? There's some unofficial tradition across colleges for white Guys that wear 44 in college and play LB. Dan Morgan referred to it how James bates (the gator) gave him this passed down jersey. I dunno - anyone recall?
