Like these two can fix things. :rk5i6fxwjlgev5j6.jpg:

We need an insider to tell us what's going on today.

meeting office life GIF by South Park

They hear the drool hitting the floor from WEZ members who are salivating at gassing up the planes and having the skies look like the Battle of Britain.

Because it won't be one plane saying FIRE MANNY - no - it's going to be lots of banners - variations of FIRE MANNY, FIRE BLANK JAMES, and FIRE FRENK THE FREAK.

They all recall what the WEZ did with Golden - even if they won't acknowledge.

To this day - Golden won't look up to the sky.

Hilarious comparison to Battle of Britain 🤣🤣

There's a good chance he doesn't know a **** thing about the athletic department. He wouldn't be the only University President to be ignorant of said department. We keep telling you guys this but you don't want to listen: Frenk has little if any input to the AD. The people that can and should make the calls are the big donors and the people on the BOT tasked with looking out for that department. Frenk is covering his ***, nothing more.

After SIX YEARS of doing nothing to evaluate, guide, control, or assist Beta Blake, this is the new solution:

"To that end, I have decided to increase the involvement from my senior leadership team to chart a way forward. Rudy Fernandez, in his capacity as my chief of staff, and Joe Echevarria, in his capacity as my senior advisor, will augment my own direct engagement with the athletics director by facilitating seamless alignment between the Board of Trustees, my entire administration, and the athletics department."

So ask yourself, what does that vague word salad specify that will be happening in the future that was not happening over the past 6 years?

And how does the CEO of UHealth (Joe Echevarria) and a political guy (Rudy Fernandez) bring any special Athletics set of skills to the table that will fix this situation?

A lot of low-key arrogance in this letter. For example:

"Conversations about college sports tend to focus on the last game—or even the last play—and I can certainly empathize with the emotions of those moments. Yet, we must pay equally close attention to the drivers of disruption..."

What is he implying there? Basically that we fans/donors/alumni are emotional and short-sighted, while he, Julio Frenk, is the voice of reason who understands the bigger picture. What a load of garbage. The Athletics Department has been a disaster for 20+ years. The "last game" (a conference loss) and the "last play" (a missed field goal) are just a symptom of a bigger disease that many of us have been calling out for a long time.

There is no short-sightedness on our part. We're suggesting structural improvements to the athletic department which have been needed for ages.

Another genius porst from you. He wrote and posted the letter before the game, Einstein.

No ****, buddy.

You need it spelled out, so I'll oblige. He's saying Miami fans are short-sighted, focusing only on the last game or the last play. That's not a specific reference to the Central Connecticut game, which is immediately obvious since we WON that game and in that context, his comment wouldn't make any sense. Instead, any reasonable person would interpret his meaning as general statement about the mentality of the fan.

And in this case, where we sit today, the last play and game were as I stated.

But thanks as always for your contributions.
