There's a good chance he doesn't know a **** thing about the athletic department. He wouldn't be the only University President to be ignorant of said department. We keep telling you guys this but you don't want to listen: Frenk has little if any input to the AD. The people that can and should make the calls are the big donors and the people on the BOT tasked with looking out for that department. Frenk is covering his ***, nothing more.
 
Blah, blah, blah. Just like a true politician. All talk and no action! How many years have our programs struggled-especially football? This would never happen in a true business climate. As a sales person, if I do not perform, I am out. At the U, you can get a head coaching job, without any competition, underachieve in the position, and have no consequences for 3-4 years. It does not take much to watch the teams of the past several years and see that the coaching is not developing players at The U! I am sorry, all of our 4 stars/5 stars cannot ALL be bad evaluations by the coaching staff and scouting services. Manny has been here for several staffs-maybe, just maybe, he is the problem our culture is terrible! I am sorry, that letter to me is just to quell the uprising that is about to happen. Not sure how I feel about the rest of the season-I want the team to win, but not if it means keeping Diaz. He is not the answer to getting The U back to competing with the big guns. And the BOT, AD and administration need to make some tough decisions on whether they want to compete at the highest level again. What we are seeing now is not cutting it! I personally would rather see us drop football than do what we are doing the last several years!

People think this is a bad thing, and yes i think people take certain things too far, specifically going after players, recruits or their family. But turning the heat up on the administration and the people responsible for Miami football is a good thing to me.

Herbie fastracked the matter with pressure in a way and timeframe that we couldn’t have come close to with our tweets and complaints on message boards - they were called out on every level of the university and with academics dropping and all that goes with that - that did it.

I know what your are saying. Im saying Herbstreit picked up on our outrage and anger from twitter mainly. He is very active on there. People like Phil Buchanon been going off on there and others. His media reach stretched it far and wide but he picked that up from our mood, our outrage, they see it. Even our local media is starting to get tougher with the questions they been asking Diaz.

The other interesting part about Kirk’s rant was it was supposed to include the semenholes but they were never mentioned. If they had been, it may have lessened the impact.
 
Julio defending his people but he’s out of touch with athletics. A national embarrassment caused this. Wonder who wrote it. Not sure it will do any good but at least the point has been made to the top.

The only good part of this is that it’s come before a single snap of ACC play. Lots of losing still ahead, you can’t keep making letterheaded porsts like this every week.

As a statement it’s as useless as gas station 2-ply, but it tells you their cages have been rattled. They hear the stick clinking on the tornado fence around their offices, they know they’re helming the most uniformly embarrassing and inept era of UM athletics since before half of us were born.

All we need is Manny to do his part.
