Either the character issues are a huge concern, or is it likely that his knee had affected him much more than what was originally thought? I mean he did play enough last year to dispel that notion, no?

It's all about his character and domestic violence claims from his girlfriend. That's why FSU kicked him off the team. Essentially, no schools want the headache and baggage that comes with him. Kane's giving him a chance and keeping things under the radar by not giving him a scholarship.
