We have more scholarships available than recruits/transfers we are allowed to give scholarships to. We only have 2 scholarships left to give this year for kids who are not already enrolled at Miami due to NCAA restrictions on how many can be given out in a year. The remaining 2 scholarships that can be given to external players will be given to transfers and/or a late high school recruit. Even with those scholarships, we would still be under the 85 we are allowed so might as well reward some hard working walk-ons to help with moral. Giving these kids scholarships is not stopping them from being able to bring in more players from outside,
