Frank Ponce

Never called plays in college, would essentially be an experimental coordinator running Satterfield's offense since he's been with him since the App St days.

Was a long time WR's coach at FIU & coached HS ball locally at Gables, MNW, Coral Reef, Central & Miami Senior back in the 90's- early 00's.

Not a bad guy personally, but not qualified to be an OC here, would be a disaster as a first year OC.

I don't think he's going to be the guy though, OP is just throwing shìt against the wall & guessing, I sincerely doubt Manny bets the house on a guy like Frank Ponce.

Zero percent chance he’d come here to call plays , maybe co oc / qb coach. Manny isn’t going into his death season depending on that dude to save him.

Yeah, unless he's Golden-esque in his love for Ponce, and knowing that he won't just lose his job at UM, but will be damaged goods going forward, it's hard to imagine he'd ride with another person who is coming off a job where they weren't calling plays. Of course, that doesn't count with Fedora or RR. If Manny does make the Pace to OC move, that might also be the end of Flake James, so maybe he should hire Ponce as the OC...hmmm...
