Quite probably the most natural running back I've ever seen.

He's had a very good pro career, but particularly because of the injuries he had in college, and the level of medical science then, I doubt we ever saw more than 80% of his potential in the NFL.
 
That article is a fair assessment - he's not got those highlight reel plays where he bowls over a guy and runs 80 yards for a TD, but he does keep the chains moving drive after drive.
 
Frank Gore his freshmen season before the knee injuries is the best running back I've seen at the U. I'm 31, so I would say I remember every running back from Edgerrin on. Edge being my favorite player of all time and still think Gore was the best.

Frank Gore from Coconut Grove to the U. Great running back who holds a football camp in the Grove. A favourite of mine. Always thought he was a steal of the draft by the Niners.
