You can put both these teams together and 2001 Miami beats them by Atleast 30. Beamer is a fool for making that comment. One of the reasons he's just above avg as a coach.

Beamer has lost his mind.....Bama is good, but by no means is this team better than the last two Bama teams....or even close to the 2001 'Canes team.
 
I think there are some overreactions going on with VTech's defense. It doesn't mean they aren't good (they were top 20 last year and didn't lose a lot), but Alabama looked like crap last night. I think that DLine can be controlled. Alabama's OLine looked confused and they were consistently beat to the spot - not manhandled. Mccarron mentioned VTech threw stuff at them they hadn't seen before. Add that to popping in 3 new OL and, most importantly, a new Center and it's no wonder everything seemed like a mess.

Beamer is trying to make his team look better by saying that.
 
best team he's ever seen yet his squad held the offense to around 200 yards. seems legit.

Beamer has his eyes set on beating Miami...he's like the old North Carolina coach...Bunting. Got to beat Miami to save his job. Mike London is in the same boat. Now we are going to have 3 versions of that freakin song if we UM don't take care of business. Beamer hates UM. Va Tech is finding out that having your brand getting its a$$ kicked on the National Stage repeatedly tends to deflate your brand. Canes need to take care of business.
