Miami’s defense was its undoing last year. UM hired Corey Hetherman to take over the defense and the unit has gone from No. 10 in the ACC in third-down defense to No. 3, and from No. 14 in allowing plays of 20-plus yards to No. 2.

“Heatherman does a real good job,” the head coach said. “He keeps it simple. In the past, they tried to do too much s— got too fancy. And, you still have to block them.”

Doesn’t say it’s Fran though just a head coach that played us both.

There was one that was quotes from a WR coach and Gattis is at Syracuse as WR coach. He was slobbering ND but basically saying Miami was no where near them. Lol Frannie and Gattis together is hilarious.

Mentioned same guy several times before, going back to when they actually hired Lashlee as well. Most recently in regards to him running into Andrew Luck at Stanford.

No reason to lie or embellish.

The list of coaches who've been fired fresh off extensions is long and vast. Means absolutely nothing.

Nowhere near. They are the cheap kind of billionaires like the Chiefs owner -- who coincidentally is also a SMU booster.

They like to see a BIG return on their initial investment before spending more, but they're always constantly looking at the next guy (who spends vastly more) and saying "Why can't we be like them?"
 
Fran literally let ND cuck him just to keep Miami out of the playoffs.

Could you imagine purposely losing a game by 63 points just to spite another team that doesn’t even consider you a rival?

Literally the biggest ***** coaching move in the history of sports. There is no coach I respect less than that loser. Billy Napier runs circles around his bum ***.

This is true but I’ve never seen a case where a program extended a coach they were actively looking to replace. That’s literally just throwing money away. There is zero reason to do that. It makes no sense at all

Some of these fan bases are ridiculous. They’re SMU, not Texas or A&M. He took them to the conference championship and playoff last year, and was close to taking them to the conference championship again this year. SMU was trash for eons, and he’s turned them into a very good and respectable program. It’s like every fanbase in America thinks they should be going 12-0 and winning the natty each year. They need to step back and use some perspective instead of being unrealistic. Again, if you’re Ohio St. or Bama what Lashlee’s doing isn’t good enough. At SMU, it 100% is.
