Four teams in the running for the Gator bowl...

We can beat A&M, they ain't that good. Mond is suspect, wr's bailed him out a lot. I wouldn't exactly like our odds, still a game we COULD win, not improbable with a decent showing.

Maybe not. Texas goes sugar bowl bc that is a big 12/sec matchup. Alamo bowl gets next big 12 pick so they could pick wvu or Iowa State. If they pick wvu then iowa st. goes to camping world. Camping world may choose nc state in that scenario because of ticket sales.

I can see the tobacco road mafia pulling that off. It would be straight BS though if that happens.

Their QB was number 2 the year TUA was 1 and Perry was 3.

If we're going to make crazy wishes... I wish we could play the Ducks in the Sun Bowl. Can we pull some strings and make it happen?

Correct, if Alamo Bowl chooses WVU over Iowa St, it will be NC St. vs Iowa St. in the Camping World and we would go to Gator. If Alamo Bowl takes Iowa St., it will be WVU vs. Syracuse in the Camping World and NC St. would go to Gator. All hinges on Alamo.

If the bowls get there choice, why would The Gator Bowl committee select NC State over Miami?

They are more worried about ticket sales and national attention, not the record of the school. Case in point, they should have selected us to play in the Gator Bowl in 2009, but instead, they selected FSU to play West Virginia, because it was a huge national story considering it was Bowdens last year and they had the opportunity to match him against his first school.

We had the better record and we beat FSU in Tallahassee that year.....yet FSU was chosen for the better bowl.
 
Current projections have us going to the Music City Bowl playing against Mississippi State. The projection for the Gator Bowl is Michigan State vs Auburn.

FYI: FSU was 7-5 with an 4-4 conference record when they went to the Gator Bowl. Ticket sales and national attention trumps the season record.

We will find out soon enough.

Hope your right. Otherwise, we probably going to the Music City Bowl and playing Mississippi State .

That would suck. I thought Blake James recently said that he was informed that The Gator Bowl will be selecting an ACC team this year. He may have been misinformed.
