The quartet joins a long line of football players who were standouts for Miami’s track & field program. Stars such as Santana Moss, Ed Reed, Vince Wilfork, Bennie Blades and Horace Copeland are just a handful of Miami football players who were impact performers for the Hurricane track & field program.
Currently, five indoor school records and nine outdoor school records are held by former Miami football players.

I'm guessing that big Vince wasn't a sprinter......

i think big vince set the school record in the shot put and reed was big east javelin champion.

Why have I never heard of Tucker? Big enough to play FB and has speed comparable to Burns'?! Teach that man how to run with the ball!

It remains to be seen if he has kept all of his explosiveness. If I remember correctly, he gained a decent amount of weight after HS.

And ya can't really teach elusiveness and vision.

my ol man was atrack coach in hs...i was a youngster then...maybe in the ninth grade..but big vince threw the shot the furthest i ever seen in one meet.

Dude was legit throwing the shot.....

I know our team speed def is down....realize that guys like Jon Beason was on our track team. We barely have 3 guys that can perform realistically right now.
