If you were a scholarship player and not a walkon it leaves about a handful of guys you could possibly be, if you're not playing on Sundays and you were scholarship I'd guess Ryan Williams.

If I had to guess I'd say Armbrister

I help train him, one of the most enjoyable kids I've ever been around and great athlete as well. I think he's one of the most underrated players in Dade and in a year his recruitment will blow up...

that does not discredit him. i personally know of one walk on/non scholly player who as a side job helped coach a local football team during the 2014 football season. saw it with my own eyes during the week. it could possibly be the OP but i wont reveal him out of respect for the OP.

Also to add: the most encouraging thing I heard in this conversation was that UM is shooting to be in the top 10 nationally on overall coaching salary, ( head coach, coordinators, position coaches combined). This could put us in contention for an all star type of staff.

If so, they need to link up with Adidas and see if Chip or Patterson might be interested. You never know.

I also think Herman should be heavily considered, he is the next big time coach i.e Urban Meyer.

They need to forget about guys like Strong, Schiano, Tuberville, Mario, Shula, and even Chud. If what you say is true, UM can do way better than these mediocre choices.

Agreed. I'm cool if we ultimately end up with Butch but put the full court press on Chip and see what happens. It can't hurt.

after reading blackvern's post, i am pretty sure i know the OP and he did in fact play at the U and coach at the local HS. let's not out him so that the information flow continues.

You are from 11-14 as you said, and I'm assuming you want Butch. Just wondering what years players are on that train as well. Seems like nearly every decade of canes players wants Butch.

FOH. The dude has on responsibility on the field at Alabama and that is the offensive line. They are awful. Put me in a white polo with a crimson A on it and I can recruit for Nick Saban.

He played in the 80's. From what it sounds like most alumni would prefer a "Miami" guy but at the end of the day we just want somebody that will take us back to greatness. Since Butch has already proved that it's a no brainer most people would take him.
