Former Miami RB gets a fresh start with Louisville (article)

Always thought he had a little Frank Gore in him. Last year was his opp to break out and bust some long runs. Seems like he had a million runs where the last guy was able to bring him down by the shoelaces. If just one of those went to the house, I think the RB rotation fundamentally changes and he's still here.
When Chaney first arrived and flashed, many of us thought he was destined to follow in the steps of past Miami greats ( Edgerin James, McGhagee, etc). Chaney possessed great talent, but his body just could not withstand the punishment the RB position demands. In my opinion he loss half a step. He added more weight to compensate. He became a "pounder" instead of a "slasher."
God speed to the young man, he is a good dude!

If Fletcher has a lisfranc injury, that's a mid-foot issue, and requires one to be totally off that foot for a while.

While the inactivity isn't good, and his conditioning will take a hit, the good thing is that it's an injury that does heal with time. Let's hope his body cooperates with that process.

Would have been nice if totally off the foot for a while included the bowl game…

Rushing him back too soon is 🥴
