He missed the team buses from the Hilton to the Independence Bowl stadium in Shreveport. My family and I gave him a ride to the game. Nice kid.

Aint that a ****...I didn't know you had to be a top flight athlete to be in the pit crew. Learned something new today. Good luck to the kid. Gotta earn a living and going back to Pompano shouldn't be in his plans no matter what comes of this.

I used to have some good connections with Gibbs racing. Wasn't able to keep up with some friends for a stint, I know a couple of the top guys on that team and a few others. Huge money around here. One of my accounts was Nascar Tech Institute or whatever its called now in Mooresville. They work out religiously, it quit being a part time gig in the mid 90's. I was friends with a guy that was rear tire carrier for Jeff Gordon. He was a UPS delivery driver from M-Th back then flew out to tracks on Thursday Night/ Friday am. Within 4-5 years that all changed into a fiercely competitive gig.
