Former Miami Hurricanes right-handed pitcher Alex McFarlane has been called up by the Philadelphia Phillies and is set to make his Major League debut Friday night against the Atlanta Braves.

McFarlane becomes the 72nd Miami Hurricane to make it to the major leagues, and the fourth player in two years.

Called him up then sent him back down to open a spot for Wheeler. Maybe they should have started him Friday night before shipping him back out - another Phillies loss to the Braves.
 
McFarlane, Rafe, Walters (AOD), Palmquist, Ligon, Rosario, Ziehl, and Garland were all on that '22 roster, yet,1 - 2 and done in a home regional. That's a current day MLB/AA - AAA staff.

Granted, several were freshmen, but still.
